If a skeleton could raise their eyebrows quizzically, Thanatos would have.

Shoes pointedly looks away with a slight blush at the word "love."
"D-don't make insinuations. No person is worthy of a seat beside me. I have thrown off the chains that Freya placed upon my being."

"None? None at all? My Queen, if it is within my power to grant your wish, I will grant it."
The lich tilts his head.
"Odd that you mention the godling. So it is love that you seek."
He taps his chin.
"While even a dark wizard of my calibre would never allow someone to force love, I would be happy to assist you in seeking an appropriate....subordinate."

Shoes turns her back, blushing furiously.

"That would be. Most. Welcome."

He taps his chin in deep thought.
"So. Who was it that my Queen was interested in that band of rogues? I assume it wasn't either of the godlings. Or the vampire. I am unsure he is even mentally capable of romance."

"Well, one of them was rather pathetic, but he did provide me with sweets and seemed to pay me proper respect.

He also, er, eloped with one of the swordswomen at the end. I think she was once a man."

"Ah. So the two horny ones."
If a skeleton could look exasperated, he would.
"....you know how to pick them, my Queen."

"Hmph. I blame the weakness of this form. It must have addled my mind." She crosses her arms and looks away with a blush. "It's not as if I've had time to cultivate an eye for talent amongst the rubbish of humanity."

"To be young and in love. Have you considered....polyamory?"

Shoes makes a choking sound in response.
"I-I had not, no."

"A Dark Queen takes multiple lovers to prove her dominance and prowess, you know. It would also neatly solve your problems."

"W-well, then it is decided. I shall become the Dark Harem Queen of Generia, and grind down the lands until such a time as I am satisfied with the worthiness and prowess of the individuals around me.

And cake. The cake is also of the utmost importance."

"I. . . do not know. I meant to search for qualified candidates at some point, but the path of blood and carnage, er. . . I mean to say, I am a warrior and destroyer, not a seeker of partners."
