'Odd!', responds Oddtwo, shooting out three small seeds from... somewhere? that root around the opponent's feet or foot-equivalents.

Cuchu was seeded!

"Get 'em with a Bone Rush!" cries Jacques "Wait, does that exist yet? Er, maybe Double-Edge?"

Cuchu shakes his head.

"Oh, come on! You can learn it by leveling in the future, so why not by TM now? That makes me mad. Stomping Tantrum!"

A silent, neutral look betrayed by a single bead of sweat.

"Argh, why were you so boring in Gen I? Only two of your moves are even Ground type! Do a Rage or something!"

A nod followed by a relentless attack only made stronger as damage piles on..

"Now, the clincher,"  "Toxic!"

Oddtwo starts to vomit a stream of poison onto  before remembering that, in Gen I, the poison just rains down nonspecifically. So that happens instead.

Cuchu was badly poisoned!

Leo grins. "It's just a matter of time now."

Cuchu's Ground vs Psychic: 3 (+1 elite attack) = 4
Oddtwo's Grass vs Electric: 2 = 2

Unfortunately for poor Oddtwo, before the poison could finally finish Cuchu off, Cuchu's rage reaches its fullest culmination and the bone rat bashes in the toxic science experiment.
