Shift-view behavior (fortress mode)
« on: May 04, 2019, 07:06:22 am »

I've been experiencing issues where shift-movement with the numpad only works when the numeric key is held down, not for a single press-and-release. (This is with numlock enabled - when numlock is disabled the numpad cannot be used for movement.) This is annoying - doubly annoying because it seems to only happen some of the time, not always. Shift-movement still works with the arrow keys, although I don't like using them. Has anyone else encountered this?

Does it work if you press-and-release several times?

The problem is likely that your OS is converting "SHIFT + NUM_4" to "LEFT ARROW" before forwarding the input to DF.

when numlock is disabled the numpad cannot be used for movement.

It works fine for me. The non-numlocked numpad duplicates the arrow keys, and tends to work correctly with shift since the OS isn't "helping".
