Not a barony yet (solved)
« on: May 04, 2019, 01:10:45 am »

I turned off invaders a while back. But it seems the mountainhome will never make my fort a barony. I wonder if these two are related.
I have more than 100 dwarves(for years), and 5.9 million created wealth,  what could have gone wrong?
By the way, my civ is not dead. It has a queen and the caravans come every year.

In the latest version, you will only become a Barony of you have one holding (A Dwarven Hillock that declares itself subservient to you). If no Hillock declares it’s subservience, you will forever remain an outpost.

However, hillocks tend to form by themselves in your vicinity. If your embark is in a location where there is no nearby site suitable for a hillock (like deep in the middle of a glacier, or with only evil and or savage regions around you), conquest (and the eventual corruption and crash following from raiding) may be the only option. Personally I find the absence of nobility to be a blessing, though...

It seems goblins are my only neighbours, both human and elves are gone.
Maybe I should try capturing a goblin pit instead?
