Siegfried took a moment to examine the heirloom he'd been given. These things were supposed to be good luck charms, right? At the very least, it would be a reminder of what they were doing here. He undid the clasp on the necklace, and then carefully looped it about his own neck before redoing it.

Siegfried uses Talisman.

"One of my agents will be awaiting you downstairs. He shall lead you to the catacombs' entrance."

"Thank you, that will be helpful. We're leaving now. Governor." The Captain saluted to the Governor, who was staring at the papers, and then Captain Astleich led his team of investigators from the office, down the stairs, meeting up with a young blonde man.

The walk through the city was a quiet one, the unnamed agent of the Governor leading the group through the back streets and between buildings, avoiding main roads and the spacious plazas. The cloaked man pointed the group to the rear entrance of the catacombs, one that was supposedly not guarded, according to the intelligence gathered.

The agent wished the group good luck, and quickly left...

Captain Astleich kept his hand on the sheath of his sword as the group descended down the long stairs, the angelic statues flanking the entrance silently judging the intruders.

Unfortunately, very quickly, the group approached the one of the most dreaded of obstacles for every tomb raider:

A large, presumably locked, door.

Objectives:
Investigate the catacombs.

Siegfried... hadn't actually expected an answer to the knock. Improvisation had never been his strong suit, so he said the first thing that came to mind.

"We'd like to speak to you about what you've been doing here. Will you come along peacefully, or require convincing?"

Altha was flabbergasted. Why? Why did that work? Was this man more intelligent than she had assumed? Some sort of tactical genius like those fanciful strategists in Twelve Siblings? There was no way this could have just been dumb luck right? This was an organized world. Maybe she should be paying more attention to these people.
