You could try rockfall traps, perhaps?  Make them the only way out of the cage area.

That's not as fun as watching your dwarves pelt him to death. I won't be catching them, I'll bring them along as pets and use the Dwarf Companion utility to detame them.

Mod in a weapon that uses rocks for ammo (or ammo made of rocks, that when fired looks like a rock) and does appropriate damage, and replace the crossbow with it.  Heh heh heh.

Or use catapults, that might be easier.

We'll do all sorts of awful things to him, never fear. I'm adding the megabeasts to the raws as we speak.

Hey Fenrir, have you deleted the boomsticks yet? I'd like to see how he fares against them!

I did but it won't be too hard to mod them back in.

EDIT:
I'm not going to bother with that right now, however.

Ok, I'm finished with it for now.  Let's see how it does!
If it is too weak, just add a point of damblock or something.  If it's too strong, make more copies of the weaker attacks.  The overcharge doesn't seem much more effective than the other attacks though, when I played as it.

I don't know why, but I was unable to get some megabeasts available in the embark screen, so only a few were taken along. I made a makeshift arena, threw the megabeasts in, and made them go berserk. The God of Toast was the first to go down, but he was already having trouble being alive. karlito went next, then Phantomic, then the mule and the horse that I threw into the pit for kicks, then Mr. Person bled to death (dude, you go owned by a flock of diseased pigeons), then Greiger bled to death. Kagus and the flock of pigeons just stared at each other until I turned all my dwarves into zombies.

Woah...

Was that supposed to happen?

How well did the Kitten Still or Slime Monster fare? Did they work? Did they fail? Surely the Kitten Still could be taken with you, it was based off the standard cat!  :(

Both the kitten still and the slime monster were unavailable from the embark screen. I'm trying to fix that. All the megabeasts had the [BIOME_ANY_LAND] and [PET] tags.

It was just a dry run.

EDIT:
I found a workaround. I can turn other creatures into the megabeasts. I added myself... and got owned by kittens... a great many kittens.

I think I know why- Kitten Still had petvalue:1000 which means it would cost 1001 points to bring it along with you... I dont think you had that kind of pointage.

The Slime Monster's body was crazy and made-up so I geuss it wont work... just use Kitten Still for now.

Make sure to give all the megabeasts [PETVALUE:2]
