I think the idea is to not have too many people per galaxy - however it's now swung too far the other way and has such few players (especially regular ones) that now you're basically in just dead galaxies, or at least ones that aren't doing a great deal. It's a game that demands quite a bit of role-playing, and that only works with dedicated players in it for the long run.

I decided to play this again.  Ended up in Eridanus galaxy.  Seems it just went through a restart or there are only new players.  Which is good because it's impossible to unentrench well dug in players in a number of spheres, and now I can be that player.

If anyone else ends up in Eridanus I'm planning going exploration after I establish my self in another sphere and can sell any info I collect.  I plan to find some worlds to claim as my own for what will become my main spheres.  Mysticism and military which (unless it changed) is the end game in IN.

I've played IN a few times in the past for a few weeks and can remember a good amount if anyone wants a guide or help. 

My suggestion to new players; Go agriculture to start and plan to change over to something else.  Agriculture is subsidized for new houses for a time and is therefore nearly impossible to be unprofitable.

I just send an email to the admin (there's a contact link on the home page), and they switched me.

Thanks, that worked just fine. I'm with you fine folks in Gemini. Already going broke after ordering some farms built. Crap. I wish there was a bit more to do early game.

Why even have multiple galaxies if the player base is now small?

That's a goddamnit good question. Honestly I don't know the answer.

In my humble opinion, the admin should close all but 1 or 2 galaxies at the best.

In the other hand, the few players that plays on the closed universes would bullshit him :/

You're on Eridanus, right? The server is 100% dead, just ask to change to another galaxy. Gemini has received lots of new players from the forum, and there's currently more than 10 active houses.

No one's started operating in Mysticism yet. The top 2 Houses are both focused on Technology, as secondary sphere, one is Politics and the other is Psionics.

Hohenzollern's being pretty generous to new players.  It's fair though.  He wants more players to get to a competitive level and really get into it.

I for one am going to take full advantage.  Going to speed up my plans considerably.

I finally got out from under a slowly leaking treasury. I don't recall if it was random or I chose to start on a barren, airless world for FARMING, but yeah. That was rough. After killing those buildings I'm back into the profits. I shall bring you ALL THE CORN. Do I need to make one world my farming "hub" and then look at transporting and selling to other worlds?

No.  Your main goal should be to build farms on multiple worlds.  Only players with the mercantile sphere can technically move product around.

Also you should plan to take on a second sphere soon.  Farming should not be your focus forever since it isn't built to really support a house.
