Re: diminutives: Finnish loves 'em, most common being "-nen". E.g. kirja ("book"), kirjanen ("booklet"). Even many surnames are of the form [random nature word]-nen such as Virtanen, ("stream-ling") Jokinen, ("river-ling") or Mäkinen ("hill-ling"). However, if you want a diminutive of a first name, you'll probably use "pikku-", e.g. "Pikku-Scriver". However, if you use a "pikku-" first name of anyone except a child, except to be punched in the face, hard.

Especially in Norway, where "Pikk" is slang for penis.

Here in Brazil we use "Pica/Pika" as slang for penis too.
God I hate it.

I dunno Drags. It's not the first time Pikachu has done this...

I mean It isn't like the franchise is blind to this either.

Aren't most of the Pokemon names puns/dumb jokes/references to things? I think most of the toxic pokemon are just poop and fart jokes.

They're all jokes and puns in English anyway, but no toilet humor jokes that I recall.  Trubbish and garbodor are trash pokemon with trash pun names, but they're the worst I can think of.  Except maybe stunky, which is a skunk pokemon and gave me a legitimate chuckle in Pokemon Go when I found out that I had to collect "stunky candy" to evolve it.

Well, there is of course stuff like the poison-types that mean something when spelled backwards, like how Arbok is "Kobra" backwards and Muk is
