Welcome to New ColumbusIn 2022, the world was hit by a deadly plague, capable of bringing the newly deceased to life. After an untold amount of years, the living have once more retaken the world, but remnants of the dead still lurk in the shadows. In this game, you take on the role of tinkers and engineers from one of the new nations formed in post apocalyptic America:
The New Bostonian Union or
The California Imperium . Each faction controls 1 section of post apocalyptic America
There are three resources your nation needs for the wartime effort: Wood Scrap and Fuel this uses the normal arms race system of if you have enough resources to build it it is inexpensive, if it requires one more than you have it is expensive. If it is 3 or more, very expensive, 6 or more, national effort. If it is 10 or more, it is only theoretical, and cannot be built.
Phases
There are 3 phases to a turn: design, revision, and combat phases. In the design phase, you come up with and vote on designs, or have a revision. The Revision phase allows you to fix or add to a previous design of your nations’.
Design phase
after coming up with your designs, I will roll some dice to figure out the cost and any bugs, modified by how much of a leap in technology it is. You can design a weapon, a vehicle, a grenade, a logistical contraption, or something else.
Combat Phase
during the combat phase you can choose the territory or territories you want to attack, I will roll some dice, and decide the outcome. The Dead will be sort of a wildcard, and their hold on a territory will be represented by green numbers. A contested territory may look like this Midwest 1/2/1 capturing all territories of a region gives you ownership.
Tech level
most equipment at the start is makeshift melee, but firearms and vehicles are able to be made, but the nations are not very industrialized.
