"How did you destroy Your homeplanet?
"
Abandoned not destroyed as that matters now.
The gene wars, when our pet monsters reins slipped lose, things of spliced genetics built to survive and kill above all else, they spread like fire an ran wild cross it, turning it a wild waste of death.

We told ourselves we could control the Beastfolk of our own creation. We were wrong. Taught to know nothing but hatred for their kin, the Beastfolk unleashed weapons we'd never dared to, ravaging our world forever. We, the only of our kind who had not taken part in the great Breeding, foresaw the destruction of our world, and so prepared a mighty mothership that we might flee as the Beastfolk brought ruin upon themselves and upon their keepers.
"What point in your history do you remember above all others?"
Though the apocalypse was a great and a terrible thing, how much greater was the civilization it ravaged? Above all else we remember the rule of the First Hive King, whose word was law under the water. Under their noble reign, we devised wonders beyond the imaginings of our predecessors, many of which even now we cannot reproduce-- for many marvelous things were destroyed and forgotten in the Last Days.
"What did you learn on your voyage?"
Countless millennia in the depths of space, in the High Abyss, have opened our eyes to a consciousness both ancient and cold. It sleeps, and pays us no mind. We cannot fathom its nature, and it is forbidden to speak its name, but those of us with a sufficiently developed awareness have learned to touch upon its power. These uniquely gifted individuals are Dreamwalkers, and their capabilities are fearsome and bizarre.
"What do you now call yourselves?"
Once in the ancient past, we were the Vlaa'gi, or the Chosen. These countless years later, we are Ulu'ur Kadesh-- the Forgotten Folk. By this name we sail the High Abyss, and watch, and listen, and wait for our time.
Howzat everyone? Strange enough for you?
