21:17, Sunday (GMT+9)

Whilst halfway through filling out a form, the lamp on your desk switches to red. Beyond your office door, you hear a klaxons sound. This could mean only one thing. SPAM-Com's first UFO detection.

You make your way to the Situation Room, your secretary tagging along behind. Your XO points to a little wooden block an attendant has placed on the world's map.

"The UFO has been spotted over Korea sir, heading West. It's a small one, about the size of our standard Interceptor. We've got access to an airbase in South Korea, as well as two more in China. What are your orders?"

A) Launch all Interceptors in range! We can't let this one get away
B) Deploy the Korean Interceptor to chase it down
C) Deploy a Chinese aircraft on an intercept course
D) Just maintain a RADAR lock for now

The order is given, and radio contact with the Korean F-16 is confirmed. The next hour is tense, as the Jet slowly gains on the UFO, seemingly obvious of the Interceptor.

At 21:04 (GMT+8), the pilot confirms contact with the UFO and an attendant pushes a small blue token adjacent to the Red one in China's Sichaun province.. He reports that it's of moderately cylindrical shape, with no discerning features. All eyes turn to you. What are your orders?

A) Fire on the UFO
B) Just tail it for now

Query: did the may 3rd incident result from clear UFO aggression (firing of a gun or missile) or from secondary factors (UFO crashing into our fighter, manipulating gravity for it to fall etc?)

We don't want to mess up potential First Contact here.

The surviving pilot reported "beams of light" emanating from the UFO in the direction of both planes as well as a shutdown of all external communications. Examination of the wreckage of both aircraft indicate severe heat trauma to the chassis that would not be expected from a typical crash landing from cruising speed. Both aircraft's black boxes reported high amounts of electronic noise at the same time as the pilot's claimed loss of communications.

I'm still not sure 1 interceptor is enough, but given the options:

"Target Lock achieved. Engaging Bogie."

A few tense seconds pass.

"Target down. I repeat, Target down."

As the Control Room erupts into cheers, you hear the pilot's voice over the radio once more.

"Target is grounded but still intact, please advise."

A) Airstrike the target
B) Load up a dropship and secure the crash site
C) Head home and call it a day
