It's so comforting to read about everyone's stupid deaths. I'm the master of them. My latest was on my GrFi. I had cleared Lair to lvl 5 and was working on clearing the Dungeon and ran into a pack of 4 Melials. God damn super orc priests with their smites! I managed to tele away from them a few times but eventually succumbed. Arg!

Edit: I had one win early in the tournament on a MiFi, which was encouraging, but I haven't gotten close again since then.

Not participating in tourney since I was away from internet for signups, but here to share a miserable death:
Maxed polearms. +13 Wyrmbane. +14 plate armor with some minor enchants. AoR, pending swap to Usk+artifact AoF. All-purpose artifact large shield. Lots of useful random stuff on basic equipment, like see invis, fly, rPois, etc. All in all, in great condition for a win, maybe even a 15-rune+Zig, that I've done with less.

I mistake Jory for a normal vampire, who promptly shoots my head right off with LCS.

I think I clocked like 400 deaths in my last tournament...? But I play fast and loose, getting Speed Demon pretty early most tournaments.

uggghh... got to vault 5, cleared most of the guards, but my real problem is starting to show...

i don't have ANY rPois, and basically no good sources of rFire or rCold or rElec. of course for rNeg from TSO, and rCorr from a ring... but walking downstairs into a bunch of fire giants, titans, and some vault wardens isn't going to go well.

it's been an ok run except for crap jewelry and armor drops

cleared lair, orc, shoals, all of dungeon, elf1, and vaults 1-4. i guess i could try spider with no rpois or elf 2 without much elemental resistance...

If youve got a decent stack of curing pots, Spider sans rPois shouldn't be *too* bad, combo depending...

Speaking of which, Ive been really struggling with my usual SpEn thus far this tourney, but got one at the bottom of Spider right now, trying to work out my best rings before taking on the rune vault... anyone got any tips?

I feel that rF and rC and 2x MR+ items are essential.  You can manage the others
