...I just realized that we don't have the basic promotion weapons.
LMG, Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, Sniper...
We can't even promote our men properly unless we steal/invent those guns.
Well we have the shotgun and sniper but we lack the heavier stuff. I would be much more comfortable with some nice heavy weapons in our stocks. Some of those aliens can take a lot of punishment.

Well, we might as well finish off the 4-kit of classes then, get the Heavies up and running.

...and, uh, just saying, if we have Heavies and they don't (they as in other cell), they will have to
A:Rely on us to blow things up for them, causing them to be indebted to us.
Or
B:They are limited in their missions, because we can actually reach a level of destruction they could only dream of.

We don't have a sniper rifle, we have a Barrett .50. It doesn't "snipe things" so much as "force everything in front of the muzzle to cease existing". We might need a more....normal sniper rifle, for regular operations. But for taking down heavier ADVENT forces (and even just shooting straight through multiple armored ADVENT patrolmen in a single shot) the .50 is going to be a great option for a long time.

The motorcycle helps with exactly ONE thing, IF we can afford it. A two-seater bicycle would accomplish much the same thing as the motorcycle, too, and we'd definitely be able to purchase one this turn.

Perhaps we should design a set of suppressors for all our weapons...except maybe the .50 I guess, suppressing one of those is usually futile at best. That or we design a suppressed, modular rifle capable of serving as a marksman's rifle, battle rifle, or assault rifle all in one...

Clarification: there are no classes. Operatives do not unlock abilities and items as they level up. What they do get is better at doing things, and if they use the same thing for extended periods of time they get better at those things.

I'm switching to CLAWED for several reasons first is the fact that making food with hydro will cost supplies means I'm less married to the idea of that design. Secondly we've a turn or two before food becomes an issue so it's not that pressing. S.C.O.P.E. is something I don't think we've the scraps of advent tech we need to do it and the Incitatus is going to cost an awful lot of supplies for very little benefit (at least early on)

We asked around the group to find out what we needed to manufacture explosives and other fancy things, and got to work on figuring out how much it would cost all together. And its not loking too great. To just manufacture the components of small arms ammunition (up to and including .50 BMG) it would require a base investment of around 120 Supplies, and for explosives manufacture it would cost an additional 120. On the bright side, once we get this setup it would cut the cost of purchasing ammunition by 25%, and the same for manufacturing explosives. We have set aside the space for this, and begun sound proofing
