They had brought the world, your world, to its knees. They blackened the skies so that nothing would grow. They ravaged cities so that nothing would be produced. They broke the world because they could not claim it. You were trying to stop them, and you were doing a good job. Which, of course, caused them to turn their sights to you. And you escaped, through a dimension collider you built, bringing your special device with you. The tool that allowed you to survive as long as you did in your world.

Henshin: Type Of Japanese super hero. In general the Rider Franchise.

Like Tyrant said, it's a Japanese type of hero/character, most often noted by the stipulation that their powers need to be turned on via transformation/another form. You know Power Rangers? That would be a prime example.

Neat. Automata doesn't really make sense as mechs though, considering that would probably be covered by ranged tech. You don't transform into a guy with an assault rifle. You transform into a walker with cannons.

Looks like automata and the grey expanse are winning. By the way, both settings are references to things. The metropolis with overgrowth might be a bit easier to guess, but I highly doubt anyone will guess the grey wasteland before the updates get rolling.

Sentai: Power Ranfers, team work is main theme of victory.
Tokusatsu: Ultra Man. Fight Kaiju by making yourself as big as said monster, kicking it’s ass with karate and energy attacks.


Should be noted all Henshin heroes are augmented or super human. The original Kamen Rider was a full blown cyborg. The belt transformation was more him accessing all said technology bits.
