Hey, so steam is having all kinds of sales now. I don't know what to get. I mean, I'm not rich, but I could get something(s). I can't be the only one thinking of this.

What do you think is good? Worth it?

1.) So Divinity 2 is like a few bucks. Worth it?
(It even has weird eaty elves).

2.) Rise to Ruins
(It's dwarf fortressy, but not 3D?)

3.) Stardew Valley

4.) The batman arkham collection is like 20. Worth it?

5.) Stellaris

Others?

This should probably be moved to other games. I think there should be a button for it on the bottom right of the thread for you.

I'unno about the other ones but assuming you're talking about actual Divinity 2 and not Divinity: Original Sin 2 (which is definitely worth $30ish dollars), yeah it's worth the 2 dollars. Word of warning though, the game is kind of incomplete. The final boss is just a cutscene when it seems pretty obvious that they wanted it to be something more.

Stellaris is...how much tolerance do you have for slow 4x gameplay? It feels a bit like they took CKII, and removed the events. And the politics. And assassinations.

I got Oxygen Not Included, which is awesome. I also bought ATLAS, which I refunded after 4 hours of trying to connect to servers.

I got most of the items on my wishlist that I really wanted during the Autumn sale, so there was nothing I felt like breaking out my credit card for this Winter.
There were a handful of 66% off games that I'm barely interested in, so waiting for a 75% or better discount. Also a few 25% off games that I'm more interested in, but waiting for 50% or better.

To put it another way, Stellaris has a reasonably accessible UI and is quite pretty. On top of that, it's the widest 4x space game I've ever played. And no, I don't mean deepest.
