GridLand Survival 4: Year 1, Turn 7(The Dry and Hot Season)
The Fire in the southwest corner of F6 is mostly gone. The land there is charred and black with soot.
Hint 1: Collaborative research projects do not automatically trigger if you don't declare them.
Hint 2: Eating food is less costly than recovering from starvation effects.
In F5:
The younger adult male continues to sit next to tree trunk in the shade. He occasionally gets up and circles the tree trunk.
In F6:
You see the older adult female continues to gather.
The older adult male is still panicking
Nirur(Nirur Torir):
You eat 3 soft yellow roots.
You craft a Tool Rod from a plant stem from F6.
You research Pyromancer's Campfire to complete the tech!
Kit(KitRougard):
You eat 3 soft yellow roots.
You continue work on farm plot.
You continue researching farming tools.
Sigil(Blood_Librarian):
You are starving. -1hp, You are tired and weary. Your legs drag when you start foraging.
You move to G6. Then you forage for Fibourous Plants, You find an enourmous amount of fibourous vines wrapped around tree limbs and branches. However, they are somewhat diificult to get off the trees.
When you do you get 2 fibourous vines, you are sure you could use them for bindings.
You begin research on tool making...
But you have forgotten your progress on Stick Sharpening!
Fiman(TankKit):
Star(TricMagic):
You drink some water. When you do your head begins to feel better. Your muscles feel stronger as well. But, You are not quite back to full strength yet.
You continue research on poison resistance
Jaynie Morgan(0cra_tr0per):
You eat 2 blue peeled fruit.
You forage in F6. You have more difficulty finding blue peeled fuit. You only manage to find 2 of them.
You continue research on hunting tools.
Amy(Aigre Excalibur):
You eat 1 root and 1 fruit.
You continue research on the fishing net.
Sassalik(Detoxicated):
you eat 2 yellow root.
You go out of your way to ignore the GM tips trying to get you to read about how your poetry tech actually works and basically waste yet another turn's worth of labor. With your current completed research projects, it is only possible to "Apply" emotions to communications which can affect the way that your words are interpreted. One possible use for this would be to better convince an NPC character to do a specific thing by including a relevant emotion to that task. The tech does not grant any additional benefits if you choose not to perform any work on your turn.
You continue to research Poetic Knowledge keeping

Burrow/Stick Nest construction: You can make a nest out of small sticks which is slightly better at insulating in non-wet conditions. A good location makes a warmer nest. Can dig it out to make it better at insulating you.
Burrowing: You can dig out small burrows with enough labor investment. Improved by tools. Rooms have the be small enoungh for the walls to support all of the weight without extra support.
Farming: A farm plot may be created at the cost of 4 labor. At the cost of 1 labor, you can attempt to grow an item in a farm plot in order to produce resources if successful. Certain items may require additional knowledge or attention. Farm plots may degrade over time and may be repaired for a specified amount of labor which is almost never greater than 4.
Foraging Tools: You may create a Foraging Tool at the cost of 1 labor and 1 solid material. Foraging tools take up 1 equipment slot and improve certain foraging actions when used. The material quality effects how likely it is to break.
How to Determine Plant Safety: If you suffer severe negative effects from eating something, you may activate this technology to identify the food item that caused it, even if that effect was delayed for several turns after eating it. This may fail if two different things poison you at the same time.
Mana Sensing: Characters with at least 1 magic will be able to tell if an item is magical, and will deliberately collect magic resources if they are able to provided that it would not interfere with their intended actions. You also have the option to deliberately avoid magic items.
Poetry: Emotions may be "applied" to most forms of communication, and doing so may affect how it is interpreted. The likelihood of this effect working depends on the recipients skills.
Pyromancer's Campfire: You may create a Pyromancer's Campfire at the cost of 1 labor and 1 stone. The Pyromancer's Campfire requires and consumes one flammable item each turn it is lit. Using pyromancy to light it does not require fat, but the campfire requires fuel in order to work. This construct carries a low risk of the fire going out of control and having more fuel than needed in the campfire will increase that risk.
Toolmaking: You may create a Tool Rod using 1 labor and 1 wood. You can create a Tool Binding using 1 labor and 2 Fibrous Plants. Tool Rods and Tool Bindings may be used as components for most tools, and they are much more durable than random junk.
