Heledd wrinkled her nose a bit.
"I think I'd have to find something to roll around in to convince anyone I'm a wolf. Perhaps it'd be better if I caught up on my napping. . . after all, I made sure to save it for after battle, unlike some."
"If I do go into town, though, I will follow your requests. I'm no stranger to subtlety."

"Human noses aren't quite as sensitive as Laguz noses. I can't tell any of your scents apart, and I doubt anyone in the city will be able to either. Just don't try passing for human."

"If you're planning to stay out here, you can, but I don't expect anyone else will, so you'll be stuck out here. If you don't want to go shopping, you can stick with me. I need to check in at the guildhouse we have here."

Grae turned his attention back to Milos. One of the birds was intervening at least, and Milos seemed to be trying to face his fears rather than asking for help. That was good.

Milos was really not sure that Joachim watching him was the point of the whole escort idea, but Claire and Aurelia bailing him out a little bit eased his tension. At the same time, he was still having a bit of trouble wriggling out of Joachim's grip, not because it was too strong for him (though it probably was), just that he was too shaky to attempt it. Attempting to try and ignore the fact that he was in a grip by Joachim, he tried to talk to Aurelia.

"Ah, um, you needed to, uh... t-talk to me? About something? Uh... I-I can certainly talk to you about... whatever you need!"

He looked toward Grae back. He tried to show a little more of a confident face, though his sweat marks were still pretty evident.

"Oh, I know. Just don't expect that ruse to hold up around any actual wolves." She shrugged at the suggestion, taking a moment to stretch in place.
"I'll come along with you, then; I don't particularly need a lot in the way of supplies, and I doubt that your group needs my help. Or that you want me spending your coinage on exotic meats." She couldn't deny that a well-spiced roast sounded perfect right now. . . she almost regretted not just taking the money.

"Well, um," She hadn't had something she'd just been trying to get him a way out... "Well, a few things, like getting your opinion on your friends so I can figure out how to work with them better, and just, generally about how that battle went... I feel like I didn't contribute as much as I should have and thought you looked like you'd been with the mercs for a while..." Oh gosh this probably wasn't working she was making a fool of herself...

Iris looks over to where Milos seems to be trying to vibrate himself into the ground and sighs.
"I should probably come along as well just in case."

Even if Aurelia was making things up on the spot, it was still a little heartwarming to Milos even in his time of utter fear that she was trying her best. Combined with Iris attempting to also help him feel a bit more comfortable, he didn't feel so nervous and his shakiness eased up quite a bit despite Joachim being in very close proximity.

"Oh...! I can help you with that, then! Everyone I work with is really great, they're all really kind and accepting towards me even though I'm not the greatest fighter in the world... well, I'd like to think I'm a decent fighter, but I really shine with my dancing... but I think you did just fine! It wasn't your fault that the ballisticians were in the way... I-I'll look forward to seeing how you do in the next fight!... Well, um... assuming there is one... hopefully not, hopefully everything will be smooth, right?"

"Ain't going to be that lucky."

Joachim didn't seem bothered at all by everyone else volunteering themselves to come along; for as much as he was teasing Milos, all he really wanted at the moment was to go into a human city.

"And since I ain't gonna get a chance once we're up in there..."

"Nyaa~"

The cat seemed pleased with himself and purred quietly until he remembered dogs don't do that and stopped.

Aya casually strolls up to the rest of the group, stretching her arms behind her back and yawning.
"Good grief....that was troublesome. So, y'all heading into town, right? Count me in."

Well... it seemed that this was happening. Aurelia coughed and motioned towards town, and would then lead the way. Hopefully having a bunch of other people with him would help Milos not shake in his boots so much. That wouldn't look great to a town not liking beast laguz all that much...

"Where are we going first?"

Upon her motions, Milos quieted down hurriedly followed Aurelia, trying to stay as close as possible to her. He hoped town wouldn't be... too overwhelming to him as a whole. He tried to keep his distance from Joachim, keeping close to Aurelia... and he didn't respond to Joachim's question, because he wasn't sure he could do it.

"Hmm..." Now that the issue of Milos was settled as well as could be expected, Claire found herself considering her own destination.

"Grae, will you need any more help at the guildhouse? I might go tome shopping, depending on what we have in storage..."

When Milos had squirmed away, Joachim had suppressed the instinct to pounce.

He's rrreally too 'prrrey-like' forrr his own good.

No one had answered him, so he decided to throw out another conversational gambit.

"Mebbe we could fin' somethin' to eat if y'all don't have any ideas? I wanna see what kinda cookin' humans do."

He was probably going to offend Aya sooner or later with this particular brand of shenanigans.

"It's just a short errand I need to run. You're free to come with me- we can look into anything else you like afterward."

"Oh, sure," Claire said, and self-consciously picked at her sleeve for a moment. "I wouldn't mind coming along to the guildhouse... but I wouldn't want to drag you along for shopping afterwards unless you really wanted to. Especially since Heledd's sticking with you to avoid it."

"I can, um, sometimes be in there for a while, anyway..."

She also hadn't forgotten about Grae's request to her, though they were around others still and so she didn't think she could very well bring it up.
