Joachim waved those concerns away with the back of his hand.

"Bah, I'm prrractically alrrready in charrrge. I'm fastest, strrrongest, cleverrrest - the best fighterrr, and the best hunterrr. This would just be making it official. And if I get borrred I can always hand it overrr to someone else."

"Huh, you really are cocksure. Well, you certainly got the attitude, I'll give you that."
Aya stretches her arms behind her head.
"As for me, I'll keep wandering, I suppose. See the beauty of the world, you know?"

"I'm a simple cat with simple tastes but amazing ability."

He pointed at his head.

"Scrrratch my earrrs."

"O....kay."
Aya does, in fact, do the scritching of the ears.

Joachim did nothing in response but stop and purr loud enough to be audible several feet away. He really was a simple cat.

Aya just gives him the most deadpan expression ever in response, without a single word.

"Thanks. Always feels betterrr when someone else scrrratches."

He scratched behind his own ear for a moment, then put his hand back in his pocket.

"We'll see about that."

And Joachim proceeded to scratch behind Aya's ears.

Aya blinks, before flinching away.
"H-hey! Don't do that so suddenly!"

Grae shushed the group as they drew closer to the border. As the group forged onward, a wall grew in the distance. The southern border wall of Morcia, built at the close of the War of the Walkers, made from the only resource that Morcia has in abundance- stone.

It was a project that the Morcian people were constantly retouching, defying the never ending march of time by repairing what damage it did to the wall. Some sections of the wall were in poor repair. This was not one of them.

"Well that's disappointing. I'd have thought this section wouldn't have received repairs yet." Grae remained quiet for a few moments, then turned his eyes on the gatehouse. "Alright. It's not in our interest to look for a more damaged section to scramble over. We'll break down the door- if we have to- and march right through. Judging by the patrollers on top of the wall-" Grae pointed to two indistinct shapes on top of the wall. "-They don't have a large force stationed here. I think we can break through, without too much trouble at least." Grae looked back at the bird Laguz who were accompanying him. "Ballistae are kept on the wall. Mind their range. Let's move."

The group, being small and lightly armored, was able to get fairly close before they were spotted by the patrols. "An attack force! Bar the gate!" One of the defenders on the wall blew a horn, letting a signal carry into the distance.

"Clover, I want that door open before they get the chance to bar it. Everyone else, move up!"

~Player Phase 1~

Goal: Have all units end their turn in row 1 or 2

Note: Kawri is totally there and on 17,18

Joachim to 15,15 and hold.

"Come on, take yourrr best shot at me! We all know you'rrre too scarrred to get off that wall and face me in a rrreal fight!"

He raised a hand and made a 'come on' gesture at the ballisticians, followed by a rather more rude one.

"On it! Guess it's my time to shine." Clover would smile a bit before rushing forward on swift feet, reaching into her belt pouch to pull out her trusty picks. She'd crouch in front of the door, taking a moment to work the lock...

Clover moves to 13,13 and Lockpicks the door (2 Move left for Footpad)
