William makes an attempt on finishing Borgo, because why not.

"The world is a better place without a person like you in it."

William cleaned his sword off and sheathed it, then searched the body for the piece of paper. Once he secured it, he next moved to Astera and helped him up.

"Here, let's get you back in good health. Can someone take care of the dark mage?"

Finally, he turned to Ismo.

"I don't know who you are, but thanks for the help. You didn't have to do that, and it's appreciated."

"Ow, ow... this is why I prefer thunder, he wouldn't have survived that hit if it was lightning..." Amber grumbled as she staggered to her feet.

"Thanks for the help, archer guy. Anyways, what's on the paper? The big guy said something about 'the treasure'?"

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

"Ah... I haven't looked at it yet. I wanted to make sure everyone was alive, first..."

Still holding Astera up with one arm, William fetched the paper from his waistpouch and looked over it.

Astera yelped as the page was pulled out, scrambling to try and escape the arm supporting them to try and grab the paper. Unfortunately their wounds were worse than expected and they only succeed in falling flat on their face again.

"Is mine! Help was nice but give please. You don't want. Please give back. Thank you."

"Take it easy, all right? I just want to know what was so important that people - whether it be us or these bandits - had to die for it. I'll give it back to you once I've read it."

William paused for a second.

"...Can you even read our language?"

Astera frowned for a second, and then folded their arms and huddled against the wall.

"... Enough."

"Where are you from? The way you speak isn't any language I've heard about, and I've read quite a bit."

Looking up at Will, Astera shrugged.

"Am from Outlands. Far away islands. Not many of your people know of it. Few merchants visit. Old island of dragons and fire. No more dragons now though. Still avoided by many merchants."

Looking up at Vigdis, Astera frowned and shook their head.

"Not my fault you in wrong place. You decide to help, was not lucky but was not my fault."

"And it is not my fault that you have lost the paper. As it is not yours to begin with, I see no reason to return it to you, if that is what your attitude will be."

A nod at that one.

"Is small. No need for you to know about. Do not worry.

Astera smirked at Vigdis though and pointed at Will.

"Good thing you not have then. He say he give back. Is deal. Not your choice."
