"Humble too, for someone who apparently carries an important title."
Ismo made sure to take note on that mentally, as there were plenty of things he was still curious about. But that sudden change in her expression made him move a hand up to his chin to ponder.
  "I am sure you heard this before, but I somewhat doubt gold will solve this issue. It might simply turn it into a large scale problem...Unless this treasure also offers something unusual enough that may work to put an end to this violence and contrast."
The thought of an object able to do such thing sounded absurd, but perhaps it did exist, who knows. His attention focused on Jasmine as soon Clara directed her words towards her.
"If you two are ready, then I will take us to Dionisos' warehouse. We will remain wandering on the roofs, so watch your step."

William sighed. He'd just have to forgo that drink for now. Probably for the best - if he started he might not be able to stop, and he needed to be clearheaded. And also not waste his pocket money on half the bar's inventory given the chance.

"I'm ready to go when everyone else is."

~~~~Chapter 1: Warehouse of Mystery~~~~
The ragtag bunch picked themselves together and followed the road to the mysterious treasure. But that road wouldn't take them too far just yet, as they prepared to assault a warehouse where more than just another clue was waiting.
Ismo led the way to the warehouse, deep into the slums and core of gang territory, with such timing that they caught Dionisos just exiting it. From their perch on the roofs and hidden out of sight, the group could observe and wait before making their strike.
Dionisos looked just like Borgo, but with a completely different air to him, more than just the armor he was wearing, and with him someone else also came out of the door, but didn't go far.
: Stabby, old chap. I leave you in charge while I go pick up the paper from Borgo. It shouldn't take long, but you know what to do if something happens, right?
: Nyes, boss. But what if'n you get jump'd? I don't wanna stay here, I wanna go out, my stick needs blood! While Dionisos seemed calm, this person was as skittish as could be.
: You are the only semi-competent man I have here right now, so no, you'll stay here. I can fend off any clueless oafs that try to get me, but you know what I will do if I return and something's happened to the *other* paper, right, Stabby?
: Nhnhn... yes, boss. The lieutenant tried to control his nervousness as he went back in, while Dionisos started making his way down the street, a large axe on his shoulder to show that he wasn't to be messed with.
Ismo remained crouched and watching with his telescope, only to give a nod.
"The dice rolled and they are in our favor this time."
The spy lowered his gadget and made a brief gesture with his free hand for them to get closer.
"Their boss is leaving the warehouse under the care of a twitchy mercenary, so we won't have to worry about the real threat. With that being said, it is time for our move, we won't get an opportunity like twice. We are getting them from above, so everyone carefully move to the warehouse's roof."
After retracting the telescope, Ismo reached for his bow and attached a rope to his arrow before giving a glance over the roof just to see if there were any holes for him to spy and check their current position.
"Amber, Jasmine, prepare your tomes. We will take down the other side of the roof on them before sliding down."
: "Right." Jasmine lowered her protective goggles and pulled a tome from her apron. It was just a basic Fire tome, nothing fancy, but for a Kizamoan mage it would be more than enough to deal with some street punks.
: "Amber, huh? So what's your story?"
"Yeah. And you're Jasmine? Well, I think it's nothing special. I heard about this treasure at home - Uncle Harold was grumbling about how he couldn't go after it, with my cousins sick. When I heard what it was... well, it's a treasure from ancient times. Think of the historical value! What we could learn from it! And, well... apparently a lust for adventure runs in the family. So here I am... can't say I was expecting it to be like this, admittedly."
Vigdis glared at the two mages with an intensity that seemed a bit disproportionate to the situation.
"Does sneaking about on rooftops like common thieves generally involve this much chattering?" Her unnecessary vehemence was somewhat undercut by the fact that she was, in fact, legitimately concerned about being overheard.
"U-um....alright. Do we know how m-many people we might run into?"
Truth be told, something didn't feel right to Karin, but, well, she'd agreed to come along, and she couldn't turn back now.
: "Ah, just call me Jazz. Most people do. So, a family of adventurers, huh? Sounds like fun." Behind her goggles, Jasmine shot a glare right back at the lady knight. "Dunno. Does sneaking around involve clanging about like a set of bells?"
"Oh, my apologies, I'll strip and fight armed men in the nude posthaste." She rolled her eyes. "I had assumed that one that put on a scholarly air would be able to figure out the value of armor when one expects battle."
Jasmine snorted.
: "Lady, I work with metal for a living. Armor might be good for some situations, but sneaking atop buildings ain't one of them. Aside from jangling every time you move, if you trip and fall you'll wake up half the city."
"Don't - "
- make a promise you're not going to keep!
"- say things like that. We don't need to be arguing when we're about to try to ambush a location that very likely has lookouts."
"Well, Mom's more a scholar these days. She did do a lot of adventuring when she was younger though." Amber answered Jasmine, then winced when Vigdis mentioned they were talking a bit much. "Sorry! I'm a little nervous... and kinda figured we're far enough they can't hear us with our voices down, if the guy has to use that gadget to see them right..."
