...Unbeknowst to them, a certain old man called Lodewik was by now talking with two shady personas at the back of his house.

"Princess?"

"It was her, yes. Couldn't mistake her for anyone else ever if I wanted to!"

"...then, soon, we strike."

With the preparations complete and the village of Gevarren behind their backs, Princess' and her bodyguards were now entering a forested area. An 'Old Gatehouse' marked the ancient boundary between Old Herzogttia and Angeborten, but as the latter gained lands on expense of the former, the borders shifted, and the old outpost stopped being of importance.

Nowadays, as the Gevarren villagers mentioned, it marked an 'unofficial' boundary of the lands belonging to Lichteisen family; from there, only few hours till the Lichteisen summer estate... if Sisters' are willing, they should arrive before dusk.

"Oh, look, look everyone! This must be the Old Gatehouse... or whatever is left of it." The Old Gatehouse was a ruin; while the main watchtower still had all of its stories - and even the roof - intact, the main gateway and walls were in near collapse, offering little protection or hiding places.

~~Player Turn 1~~

Objectives:
Reach the top row (1) to exit the map; any unit that ends their turn on top row will be removed from map and considered 'safe'.

*THUNK*!

An arrow launched through a hole in the wall bounced off Priscilla's plate armor.

"Ah, Priscilla!"

A loud curse was heard coming from inside of the tower a moment later, and then two whistling sounds!

Rowan could see two pegasus riders launching towards the skies from the thickets, while alarmed yells and loud noises of people rushing down the stairs came from the tower right for Priscilla and Johannes to hear. It's an ambush alright!

Meanwhile, behind the Old Gatehouse...

"Irmhild, the Princess and her lackeys have passed through the bridge."

"Perrrfect. We must try not to mangle Princess' body too much. We need a proof of her demise, after all."

"Sure thing."

Objectives:
Reach the top row (1) to exit the map; any unit that ends their turn on top row will be removed from map and considered 'safe'. All units must be removed from map to complete the Chapter.
OR
Kill all Enemies.

The magical wind cut the archer, and then Venza took an arrow to the knee.

Spotting a Cutthroat in the ruins, Rowan zips alongside the walls, past the distracted archer, before throwing a javelin through one of the windows.

13,7. Attacking Merc C with WTA. Canto to 15,8.

Hovering next to the nearby trees, Rowan locks eyes with the two enemy riders and rises his spear while shouting.

"You are facing the rider of a Bouwman Pegasus, the noblest of all feathered steeds! Dare to attack me and your efforts shall all be in vain!"
