Every bit of in-game text is presented in dwarven language where possible.  Hope you've been reviewing your vocabulary, so you can tell your gusil urists from your lolum usids.

Each time a new world is made a new language is procedurally made as such there's never two of exactly the same.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?

Dialects-

Dwarven migrants might come with a different dialect, hindering their ability to communicate and use skills effectively. You can only assign labors to dwarves with the same culture as the current mayor.

Instead of alcohol, make stills produce juice. Juice needs to be stored in wood barrels and placed in a 'fermentation stockpile' for at least 1 in-game year before it ferments into dwarf-fuel. Drinking it doesn't produce a happy thought until it's been aged at least 3 years.

Vermin, contaminants or miasma in the stockpile affect the taste, giving the imbiber a bad thought.

I actually think that would be a good addition. It would make drink production require a bit more planning. Of course, dwarves and alcoholic non-dwarves should always go for alcohol first if available.  Three years is a bit much though.

An AGE_TO_MAT and AGING_TIME material token would be pretty nice in other circumstances as well.

Three years is a bit much though.

That's what makes it terrible!  :)

I guess you could mitigate the wait time by making embark booze a minimum of 3 years old by default. But that makes it more plausible and less "FFS, aren't things stressful enough!?"

ENTS

when cutting more trees than the elves told you to, they come to your area and turn all surface trees into ents. They then procede to leave the map, leaving you with just some holes in the ground.

Ents would make for good combat training. Would certainly help with the elves, if they ever invade. Emphasis on 'if', 'cause those damned elves won't come and fight me already.

Do ents drop logs on death, at least? Or are they just worthless, flammable punching bags destined for the atom smasher?

The logs count as body parts, so you have to butcher them first, using a new job class called the Wood Butcher.  Though depending on the density of wood they're made of, hauling their carcasses could take months.
Also:

No, they wander around your embark, telling boring tales of their times as trees (compatible with Steam sounds.) They're too big to atomsmash and heal so rapidly they can't be killed by magma (but they'll scream in agony, again with sound.) If you cut one in half, it regenerates into two. If you block the growth of saplings on your embark, they'll remove the obstruction. If there's nobody nearby that hasn't heard their tales, they'll seek out a tree and turn it into an ent. If there are no fully grown trees, they'll seek out a sapling instead and name it Groot.

Also, you forgot fung-ents in the caverns. Ents don't get along with fung-ents, BTW. They get into loud arguments over sunlight.

Seems like Ents are the new most hateble species. make them a playable civilization! no constructions, no feeding, no nothing. You only get to wander slowly and tell boring tales.

You forgot to mention that they would be the ONLY playable civilization.

Incorrect. You could also play as Giant Sponges.

Building off the sounds ideas:
-every goblin siege is accompanied by a background chorus of screeching, chittering, howling, and yelling in high, grating voices.  This gets louder and adds additional layers as the sieges get larger.
-elven attacks also have background noise, but it's an incessant chorus of short jokes.
-as long as any opening to the circus exists on the map, the game will periodically play loud, long, mournful moans and screams, with no warning.
-dwarven children.  Enough said.
