Make the game into a courtroom simulator, where the player presides over dwarven litigation battles. Instead of body part status, you get the list of legal precedents available to each party. Combat mechanics control the issuing of briefs.

When law will be implemented, it might actually be feasible.

Handled by combat mechanics you say?
Urist McLawyer strikes the defendant in the argument, the argument goes flying off in an arc

Urist McJudge: You stand accused of sympathizing with elves.  How do you plead?
a: Guilty
b: Nolo Contendere
c: Not Guilty
d: Not Guilty (by reason of insanity)
e: Attack Urist McJudge

Choosing E, of course, is the best option, because the game still thinks that you're "fighting" with legal arguments while you're punching Urist McJudge to death because the game hasn't been patched yet.

Appearance through genetics is already implemented.

The rest is probably planned.

I pick A and E simultaneously. Either the cause of justice wins or I die a martyr.

Choosing both A and C has the net result of choosing D, assuming that Urist McJudge has high Judge skill.
If not, there is a small chance that it will be seen as E, or the judge becomes Confused, causing the judge to spit out nonsense in place of actual words half of the time.

Taming that is transfered to the whole civilization. If you catch and tame badgers, you can embark with badgers in later forts. Of course, this means this is the only way to tame animals. Civs no longer start with a list of tamed creatures. You'll have to do it all yourself. Get to work, Urist!

Dwarves that hate purring maggots have a chance to suffocate when consuming products made of their milk (they're allergic).

That's good for me, 'cause I kill every animal in my forts to maximize FPS. After all, wild animals are moving punching bags for my military.

Medium-aware goblin invasions.  They set up camp outside your fortress, then cart in load after load of tame animals and random garbage to tank your FPS, eventually forcing you to abandon it, lest you slog along at one-frame-per-second.

If two civs hate you enough, they will sign agreements to see you as a common enemy, and will invade your fort with their combined strength.
Additionally, all existing wars between them will be put on hold and they will regard each other as temporary allies.

The whole game is now medium-aware. It will respond to you attempting to savescum. For instance:
Previously killed NPCs will express a vague feeling of the inevitability of their death by your hand.
A minority of NPCs are able to read your adventurer's face to hint at you having the ability to savescum at will.
Entire civs can become aware of your powers, allowing them to taunt you for your cowardice.
If the medium-aware NPCs manage to form groups to study your behavior, they can eventually convince the whole world of your existence. At this point, whatever you're controlling will be under close scrutiny, and if your current behavior matches your previous behavior, they will turn against you.
