Imagine the performance of current DF made in Unity.

1 Dwarf on a 20x20x3 Tiles map. When the first goblin shows up your cpu explodes in a firework.


Given you live long enough to get through the loading time. Or world gen.

Paranoia:

Dwarves, after dig deep disasters in their civs, become very paranoid. Any adventurer who isn't clearly from their civilization, or who is stained with blood, will be assumed to be hostile. Kill on sight. Likewise, tavern-goers, diplomats, and merchants will be wiped out by paranoid dwarves who think they might just be devils in disguise.

In order to save on resources, pathfinding no longer exists and all units move in random directions until they reach their destination.

Hmm.
Fishing Pole: (log or bar) + thread + (hook) + (lure or bait) 
bait = gathering near water zone , or animal trap critters
lure = craftsdwarf (feather, leather, scales, shell)
hook = craftsdwarf (wood, bone, metal)

Enemy Siegers will now found and construct Sites on top of Player Forts while they’re still playing. Of thr Player attemots to dig their way out, the enemy Siegers will notice, and use constructed Walls to prevent the Player from escaping, since Constructions made by Enemy Siegers cannot be destroyed. The Caravan will stop coming, all attempts to abandon or retire the Fort will be met with failiure due to the Dwarves’ trapped state. FBs and Cavern Creatures will stop spawning, as will all HFS. Dwarves will cease to require food or water, will become remarkably mentally stable, will become immune to drowning, falling, fire, and a great number of other things. The World is now unusable, have fun!

Immune to drowning and fire? Well, exterminating a forest retreat using magma and cave-ins could actually be fun.

If a dwarf stays out in the sun too long, he/she becomes a nature lover, shaves the beard (if male) and consorts with sun spirits.
