Shipkilled, Week 5
Simdic's Log, Slate:
"Outdoor work is starting to take its toll. The number of sick are ramping up, but every week brings us closer to abandoning the surface in favor of the warmth of the earth. Thankfully the volunteer force took the time to move our homes beneath the earth, or things would be much worse.
Observations: Temperature steady at -30 Celsius, Wind and snowfall are increasing. Its a blizzard to be sure.

Expedition Log:
We struck out for the strange lights in the Lowland, and found...Something odd. First and foremost we found a large number of our lost population. Sick, and injured and hungry, they sought shelter at a strange crystal spire. Its almost elven make, but different. It pulses with an uneasy energy. There is no snow within its range, and from here we can spy a few more sites of interest.
We've brought our people home, even though they are in poor shape.
Choose 5 Actions (2 Frostbitten) Actions are seperated between Indoor and Outdoor work. Too much time spent in the cold will leave your people sick and may even lead to death.
Indoor
Research & Innovation
Heating: Grand Gates: 2 temp wood, 2 temp steel: Dwarven holds of old had em, we should too. Raises temp +1 step underground.
Exploration: Observation Post: 1 Temp Wood, 1 temp steel. Expanding the beacon to be a solid observation post.
Industry: Core Samples: 1 Temp Steel. With a bit of ingenuity, we'll better our odds of finding resources.
Steam Drill Study: 2 Temp Food. Steam Drill unavailable for 2 turns. Our brighter minds want to crack open the steam drill, study its innards and maybe find ways to improve our lot.
Arcane Studies: 2 Temp food. Although we have no hands trained at working magic, we may wish to study it all the same and find a way to use it for our betterment.
