All possessions of value and clues to their identity seemed to have burned away, except a blue ring on a corpse's body. Perhaps if you take it back to town someone will know who this was?

Jaason Howard was a quiet man, as he guarded the gate day by day he saw many strange things come through this fringe town. Today he would have a lot to say. As a troupe of heroes returned he payed them for there troll trophies and directed them to the nearest available inn.

They had showed him one of their spoils, a small blue ring. He shrugged it off, but oh, he knew what it was. As soon as he was relieved from his post, he left to meet with the gypsies...


As the heroes entered the inn, they stopped talking to Missty, they knew what to do, and didn't need the extra attention of looking crazy. Also, if Missty needed to give further instruction, they could still hear it.

They met with the keeper and explained the details of the caravan attack as they had with the guard. She had a hunch the blue ring belonged to a powerful wizard, and that the ones that had it were either thieves, or unwitting recipients of a stolen artifact.

Missty, later that night becomes aware of a troll raid. It didn't seem to be more than the guard was prepared to handle, though intervention could win some favor with the town. However, the troupe was still only equipped with their arena attire. The stores would not be open until mourning proper.

Fresh off their victory against a bunch of trolls in the forest, the Vikings decide they will help the guards deal with these trolls as well.

The heroes rush to the streets. As the guard forms a perimeter more trolls are flushed from the allies back toward the gate. You see some they missed and the troupe closes them off, however more come from behind!

I hate to worsen my own situation here, but troll #3 was at full health, so a regular attack from a level 1 (cloth/nothing) weapon would not have KO'd him.

Generally, every focused attack is lethal on even terms(weapon vs armour), and every basic attack will set up for a lethal hit.

The disparity between material is not enough to matter here. Shall I use your move?
