Few questions about necromamcers

As a vampire, can I drain the necromancers dry? Seems I was sucking a lot of blood out of one and it woke before it died.

Also, now that my character is a necromamcer is he supposed to have a flashing X over him all the time?

I believe the volume of a feeding is determined by how recently the last feeding was. A starving vampire takes more in a feeding than an overfed one. It can take a while to drain someone like that, long enough for them to wake up sometimes. Biting the throat out before feeding tends to give the desired effect.
