Thinking about things, we should probably keep the Mod2B squadron on the defensive, probably on the western front with the balloons.  Plus, add to that that we dont *really* have a way to get fixed-wing aircraft operating with the navy yet... So...

It's a raid, not a landing. Ech. Thanks to PJ for pointing that out, so the support with the planes will be unneeded.

Design Phase, Early Autumn 1915

The Admirals are pleased with the results of the raid done on the city Stilles Wasser, and are planning another if given the chance on Nordosthafen next so long as balloons are provided.

The General on the road to Nachtburg requests more aircraft, especially those newer ones, and some balloons to help deal with the Schwarzes Holz and take back the ground they gained earlier last summer.

The general in charge of the advance on Sprungburg is pleased, and expects that if things stay as they are, or if things improve, Sprungburg will be in Pren Gwyn's hands before the snow fall makes things miserable. Additionally, General Dremidydd Rosser requests some forces to help with his advance, specifically the balloons.

A few pilots put forth the idea for an official acrobatic squadron to get more recruits into the air and possibly sell a few war bonds and inform people that yes, we do in fact exist.

High command has increased your budget by 2 PP, as the country devotes more factories to war.

We should probably put everything here towards revisions and accelerating projects.

Pren Gwyn Design Phase, Early Autumn 1915

ACG-AMD AC15 "Saethydd" (1 die spent, 1 die rushed)

Progress 4+6+5 = 15/15. 4 PP spent

Work on the Saethydd continues at a speedy pace with the motto of "Ar gyfer tir ein hynafiaid" said by the engineers. In fact, the motto has become one some of the pilots even use, and has become something of an unofficial motto of the Gwylio Awyr Brenhinol. Regardless, the work goes by quickly and efficiently, with the designs of its construction and a few contracts that where sent out returning just now as our work on the Saethydd comes to an end. All this work was done without any issues, and the engineers are all quite pleased with themselves.

Project Complete! You can now deploy as many squadrons of "Saethydd" biplanes as you can afford.

Meanwhile, in requisitions, the army quartermasters are quite pleased to finally have a break from things being ordered.

It is now the Revision Phase. You have 4 die remaining to spend on Revisions or Save for the next turn.

That went well. I want to improve the radio and gun, and maybe cheapen our planes.

Aerial Machinegun Conversion

By upgrading the DG TyD to remove the water jacket and replace it with heat dispersing fins along the barrel, the overheating issue is to be resolved. In addition, the internal components of the gun are to be carefully catalogued to identify probable jamming causes. The identified issues will then be replaced with more suitable components to reduce jams. Finally, the machinegun sight is to be made essier to aim in flight, with a horizontal lead guide.

Simple Bombardment Rack

By attaching a set of braces under the Saethydd, we modify it such that it can carry a set of modified mortar shells that are released via a pilot operated lever.

Under-Eye Technologies

By mounting a commercial camera pointing down under the plane, equipped with a wide angle lens, with the back available to the pilot/observer to allow plate changes, along with a remote trigger, field planes will be able to be take aerial photos of enemy emplacements. This revision is meant as an option for all wood-framed planes.

Another Proposal:

Air Radio Body

Our current radios are meant to be carried by squads and around on thd ground. By reshaping the internal components and outer shell of the radio and battery compartment, we aim to make the radio mount more easily in airplanes while reducing weight.
