I  was just planning on stealing them from the army as a requisition.

Why would the army have parachutes?

Thats a weird votebox. As for why the army would have them, from capturing enemy pilots of course. Also, I see a problem emerging with there being two of us... And then theres yer wierd naming thing fer the made new chute.

Comrade, you have no need for parachute if you are not shot down! Also having like 6 Saeth revisions will get confusing fast.

I'd prefer to mod the Saeth again, so that we only need to update our existing planes rather than replacing them outright.

Its a fair deal less capable, to the point where past, say, pilot training and liaison duties, it doesent really have utility anymore.

Revision Phase, Late Winter 1915
Quote from: Saethydd ACG-AMD AC15 Mod B
The mod B pattern of the Saethydd is intended to liveup to its initial secondary goal of being a recon aircraft. To this end, the Rhodri 10-140 D15 has been replaced with the 10-180 D15, the fixed machinegun has been deleted, a pair of Llygad Hir cameras(the second being offset on its timing to provide some level of parallax to aid in determining the contents of the resulting images) have been installed over the one optional camera, and a lightly modified Bloeddiwr 79(mostly by addition of a small wind generator, allowing the deletion of most of the batteries) has been tied into the airframe.
Efficacy: 3

The Saethydd ACG-AMD AC15 Mod B is basically a Saethydd with the newest, most powerful engine we have and fully designed as a recon aircraft. The work to put in the cameras was easy enough but the real challenge was with getting the radio to work without a majority of its battery. Lucikly the wind generator works well enough when in level flight, so that won't be an issue. Naturally, all this space resulted in the front machine gun to be removed and a lot more emphasis is on the observer's ability to shoot, making the Pilot as the defense while the observer as the offense. Regardless, despite costing a bit more, It'll do its job well enough. It should be noted its performance is a bit better than the original, but could be better especially without the radio. It costs 1 PP to upgrade one of the older Saethydd's to the new model

Quote from: Cadwynog ŷd AGAA C15 Mark 1
Being a recoil operated weapon, particularly where the firing of one barrel operates the action of the other, a total rate of fire of only 100 rounds per minute in the initial mark is strange to say the least, and not as effective in air-to-air combat. Thus, the Mark 1 update, working to bring the weapon to a more expected rate of fire of roughly 1500 rounds per minute. Additionally, work is underway to introduce ammunition with incendiary or high-explosive charges.
Efficacy: 6

As it turns out, fixing the fire rate was quite easy. The big issue was a fairly simple bug in the recoil system that dampened the recoil far to much and barely used the force from said recoil to actually get firing. Still, we fixed that fairly well and managed to get about a thousand and a half rounds per second, however one of our engineers had the foresight to notice that doing this would not only badly damage the enemy if they were hit, but would also majorly reduce the amount of time that our pilots could hold down the trigger due to limited ammo and would require our pilots to be very accurate. As such, work was done to make the amount of ammo it could carry without any modifications to the aircraft it could be used on as well, to quite a good deal of success, and should allow our pilots to keep the trigger down for longer before running out of ammo. Lucky for us, this fix isn't exactly that costly, and we can do it easily enough without PP. Also, we managed to make some of the tracers a bit more potent, enough to be considered incendiary, though pilots are a bit worried to use them on actual enemy aircraft for fairly obvious reasons.

So, with 16pp, we can maintain everything we currently are using and have 7pp remaining, enough for say a squadron of Nodwydds and I dunno, getting a bomb or getting some dedicated recon aircraft?

I'm not sure if wer have two loads of mortar rounds to sell, but otherwise I like your plan.

We do however have three loads of bombs, so if we're switching one of the Saethydds to recon work the other three can use the bombs.

SyS FIGHTER MODE has gotten a little bit of work. namley costs actually make sense and the recon aircraft whych where tasked with flying with the bombers now and then to be dicks have some orders to muddle things by dropping those little mortar bombs with the bigger ones.

 Also, hey, four votes.
