IC THREAD

Greetings, new recruit, and welcome to the elite and prestigious Special Forces Unit Without A Cool Acronym, or SFUWACA for short. You just got out of training, and you're ready to be dispatched on missions too tough or dangerous for regular soldiers.

RtSF is a roll to dodge using a D10, with gameplay based around realistic combat. The goal is to complete missions, of course, without dying.

Combat: Combat works on a somewhat simple system. If the attacker's roll is higher than the defenders, the attack connects and hurts the defender.

Health: Good ol' chunky salsa. If you don't know what that is, look at other games which use chunky salsa as their health system. The basics of chunky salsa is that there's no such thing as health points, but instead, various injuries which can be crippling or fatal if a certain part of the body is injured badly enough. Generally, bleeding out, swiss cheese vital organs, and a severely damaged brain/neck/torso will kill you.

Ammo: Guns need ammo to fire. You can't tell if a gun has a specific amount of rounds, you can only tell if it's empty or not, as if it's empty, you'll just hear *click* when you fire. Instead of a generic FPS spare ammo system, there's a more realistic magazine system, where if you reload with a mag-fed gun, you drop the old magazine, losing unspent ammo, and then you load a new magazine. This means you shouldn't be wasting ammo, and reloading when it isn't necessary.

Inventory: Your inventory works somewhat similar to the classic, pre-reboot XCOM games, based on a slot system, some taking up more spots than others. Depending on your playstyle, you'll want different items in your kit. Your chest rig has a 5x5 storage square, and your belt has a 1x5 rectangle with a 1x3 rectangle of storage underneath.

The first mission will involve infiltrating a stronghold of a known hostile faction, armed with military grade equipment. You will be armed with breaching explosives to enter the barricaded building. The objective for this mission is to leave no hostiles standing. I'll make the IC thread for missions when I've gotten your inventories ready.

Spirit Freedom, Nightwatch, Fuze, and Cheese are going to be sent on this mission, codenamed Operation Shredstorm.

The difficulty for this mission, since it's the first one, will be Easy. If I was an asshole gm, the difficulty would be Psychologically Unsafe.
