Turn 1
After checking your map, you begin walking to the headmaster’s office. No one stops you, it’s obvious no one wants to be the one who messes up the headmaster’s appointment. You find your way to ink black door. The door has a simple bronze plaque, with “Headmaster Deimos” engraved in sharp, black letters, and a sticky note bellow it. “Go the hell away or I’ll send you there,” it stated menacingly. An aura of fear flows from under the door. With great unease, you knock on the door. A man’s voice sounds from inside, “if that is Mr. Actor, the door is open, if it is anyone else, I would suggest you leave before I come to check, you’ll extend your lifespan that way.” The voice is smooth, yet at the same time, you feel definite darkness in the voice. It reminds you of Jafar, Sher khan, maybe a male Maleficent, some of the scariest villains and most powerful villains from Disney villains, but this, this is very real. Shaking, you open the door, and the aura you felt seep from under it before hits you full force. You feel yourself falling, deeper and deeper, into darkness. A voice whispers to you, the man’s voice, as it asks you, “what are your nightmares like, little boy?”
(You rolled a 2 on not drawing attention)
You strut over to the library, drawing a lot of attention to yourself with your fancy walk and large size. You wander into the library and see no one at the front desk, but there are touch screens for you to plug your PA number in. You put yours in and look around. The library is frankly labyrinthine, but fortunately, there are maps on the front desk. You pick one up, and wander over to the area in the middle of the library marked as the “help desk.” You find yourself at an upraised square area, with wooden walls topped with desks cluttered with all manner of school supplies, books, and various weapons. Looking directly at the desk, it appears there is no one, but looking down, you can see there is a cat with light brown, almost blonde, fur sleeping in one of the chairs. It smells, indisputably, like a cat. As you look down on it, it wakes up, stares at you for a bit, and then gets up to stretch. It jumps up on the counter, and back down onto the floor. You blink, and suddenly, the cat is gone, replaced with a man in a white dress shirt, black pants, a grey vest, and a navy blue suit jacket, with a black cravat, with black rimmed glasses. He stretches, and you notice his somewhat curly hair is the same color as the cat’s pelt. “You must be Oedipus,” he yawns, “come on, I’ll show you to your loft.” He smells indisputably human. “Indeed I am” you respond, not letting the librarian’s strange entrance stop you from saying what wanted to, “pray tell, would you desire to talk to an obsequious student about ancient history and other such fascinating subjects.” He glances back at you, still stretching, the light catching his glasses, making it impossible to see his eyes. “You do realize that obsequious has a negative connotation, referring to stalkerish or obsessive behavior, right?” he asks, “you should be able to tell due to the etymological similarities to ‘obsess’.”
You follow your map to building nine. Your room is on floor one, rather near the entrance. You swipe your student ID through a card reader next to the door, and with a beep, a light flashes green. You pull open the now unlocked door, to see your room. The bunk bed is already occupied with who you can only assume are your roommates, both looking... a little off. The one on the bottom bunk has short, tabby hair, as in orange with dark stripes, as well as feline ears on the top of his head. The one on top you can’t see much of, it he appears to have long, lizard green hair. The cat boy turns to you, and you can see his eyes are green, with feline pupils. ”你好” he says, waving at you, “我叫猫爱子.” He pauses, looking up at the top bunk, seeming waiting for your other roommate to speak. After it seems pretty obvious he’s not talking, 猫爱子 begins talking to him. “你应说你好” he says to the person in the top bunk. “我不会说你好,” the person in the top bunk responds, “我很忙.” “你看书!” cries 猫爱子. “对,” responds the top bunk dweller, “因为我看书,所以我很忙.” 猫爱子 gives an exasperated sigh. “他叫九蛇王,” he says, “你叫什么?”
You walk over to the school, unlike everyone else, avoiding your dorm. The school is mostly empty, as it appears everyone else is likely checking out their dorm rooms. Being as you have the whole place mostly to yourself, you decide to wander around the school checking out the rooms on your class schedule. Each of the doors seems to be locked, but you make a plan for how to get from one to another quickly, which should help tomorrow. Just as you are about to head to your dorm to check that out, you hear loud footsteps. You look around, and see a Minotaur stomping around the courtyard, the school map looking puny in his giant hands.
You walk to your dorm building and take an elevator to floor 6. Your room is rather far down the hallway, right next to a window labeled “emergency escape”, a fire alarm, an emergency pull switch for the sprinkler system, and a glass case containing fire retardant. All in all, it seems like exactly where someone would put a mad scientist to keep them from doing too much damage. You slide your keycard through the electronic lock and step into a disaster area. The floor is littered with soar parts and blueprints, and a pillar of flames is rising from the bunk bed. A small, reddish, imp like creature is sitting on the solo bed, tinkering with random parts. “Fix, fix,” it mutters to itself in a high pitched voice. You step in and it perks up. “New fix friend?” it asks, and the pillar of fire goes horizontal. “Yes,” it says in a voice much deeper than you’d expect from fire, “it seems so.” You simply walk in, this is far from the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen, and start cataloguing your equipment. Well, you only recently escaped from the underworld, so you don’t have much more than the clothes on your back, your ruined jet pack, and the things the school has thus far provided. However, this room seems to be a veritable gold mine of spare parts. The fire notices you looking at the parts and simply states, “go ahead, I doubt the gremlin will have any issue with you working with his things as long as what you make is cool enough.”
You choose to look around your classes. You walk to the school building and begin looking around. When checking out your third period, you find the lights are on inside room 432. You look inside and see a dark haired man in a black suit chatting with a woman with dark purple hair with similarly colored feathers in it. It only takes you a moment to realize the feathers aren’t just in her hair, as you see them growing at multiple parts of her body, such as around her neck and wrists, resembling a necklace and bracelets.
