I propose that we replace one of scythes in the design with a hammer

we can't exactly create a plant from nothing. I propose we forage for the most viable crops, and then modify the best we find.

GLORY TO THE SOVIET UNION

What if we made a fruit an EEEEEVIIIIIL fruit? Say, you get stronger when you eat it but also more violent? Then again, the violence part might not be that useful when it comes to better controlling our guys. Would probably be good for berserkers though, especially if we made it super potent.

We are in the grasslands, so grain crops should work.

Corrupt a rooting grass to make it bleed nutritious sap and grow quickly. Added bonus - make it's blades of grass razor sharp (pun intended) So our farmland doubles as a defense.

Is there a river or stream nearby?

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to make our staple crops any sort of mind altering substance. Just regular and prolific grains please.

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

You must continue with the corruption of the hoop, but first you have several gifts to give your followers. The spirit is thrown into the forge, and careful application of magic is used to keep it alive as a statue of you is forged around it. It goes well enough, and in fact will grant a minor fertility boon to those around it. Appropriate, as Damena and Azen prepare a ritual, dancing around the statue and shouting praises to you, as hammers fall, no longer on statues on you but on cruel weapons.

You focus the magical energy of their ritual and spread it across the Shade Bastion, filling your followers and servants with a lustful ecstasy. They begin to couple, and a little more, in all sorts of combinations, their moans and cries and roars filling the air. As the energy from this wild debauch fills you, you channel it outwards into the grass outside.
Two captive slaves are bound to stretches of the grass, and their bodies warp and shift as your magic fills the air, merging them with the grass, making it bright red, letting out low moans of pain as the breeze drifts through it. The stalks swell, growing taller, their tops thickening and warping to look like staring, maddened eyes.

Though weakened, the screams of pain and lust invigorate you, and you decide to begin hunting for spirits, carefully circling about the bastion, looking for something to hunt. You find a small group of rockcrushers, and you can feel their minds are protected. The spirit must be nearby. It is the work of a few minutes to find it, and it takes nothing to kill it. You barely manage to salvage the heart though – the amount of power you put into the grass is draining you, although you manage to recoup some of it. Still, it is not wise to risk yourself unnecessarily right now. You return to the Bastion, where the debauchery is beginning to end, and the first scythes are being forged. As you recline on your throne again, you notice a great many woman and animals are pregnant.
