As most see the duel as over, there attention drifts. They begin talking, eating, sharpening weapons and repairing tools. Several children sit in a circle around an old man who tells them a long, winding tale involving onions and bees. The two brothers don’t move though, and neither does the shaman.
Carefully, you hide yourself, both within minds – the name of the victor is Samana, you learn, and his brother is Sazona – and in the world, crouching down so that all but the very tip of your head is hidden behind the endless waves of grass. Then, carefully, you push on Samana, encouraging his wrath and fury, suppressing his love for his brother.
Samana takes a step forwards. Then another. He raises the axes, and then snarls, bringing them both down towards Sazona’s wrists. At the last moment he shifts his aim, taking two fingers from each hand instead. You send a second, weaker wave of pleasure to him, made from the evil generated by his wrath.
Sazona begins to stir, bitterness and anger and humiliation flowing through him as he realizes what happens. Samana turns. “I seek to commune.” He says, and then he walks off, heading out of the camp, away from the barrows, but not quite heading towards you either.
You can smell the blood, feel several more simmering conflicts, and both brother’s thoughts are maelstroms with incredible potential.

(In most worlds, dragons are sapient creatures who are typically mostly solitary, have a desire for some sort of treasure that borders on the obsessive, and can grow immensely powerful through age. It occasionally varies from world to world. Here, they seem to be sapient, extremely magical in nature, and incredibly powerful, although this all comes from legends.)
