6th Editor

There won't be a topic on the 5th editor, because I just finished it.

All I have to do now is the stock creature editor.

But I wanted that 5th Editor topic!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! Just because I need to vent my anger and disappointment, Iīll have to kill Diablo, the boss of the bosses!!!

Can you believe it??? I actually managed to kill Diablo without any help!!! It was hard as hell and I died 5 times while fighting him, cost me nearly 200k of gold. By the way, how is it going with Armok?

Canīt you do "Mayhem visits Quiant Thorpe" (was that right?) before you do items and magic? I know you have to to plants first but then MVQT? What does the rest of you think?

Whats a city without items?  I think the present order is best with the possible exception of clothing & magic...  But whichever one comes out first, I'm happy.

Magic is being put in at that point due to a prior request.  I also need to get that infrastructure in soon or it will be very hard to add later.

Items need to be made first or towns will be very dull.  The item release will allow me to add stores for the Quaint Thorpe release, as well as allowing the player and villagers to wear clothing/armor.  It will also allow the Mayhem to occur with more weapons.

Anyway, I don't expect the item release to take very long.  Magic might take time, but I'm also using that release to add things like temperature and other non-magical environmental effects.

I'm now around 2/12 with the stock creature editor.  Then next one is easy, but the 4th thing I have to do is really tedious and boring.  After that, the rest of the stock creature editor tasks should only take a day or so.

It's the last editor, and the last really tedious/difficult thing, but there are plenty of loose ends to tie up:

  • Tie the model editor into the game
  • Make reptile motif
  • Make insect motif
  • Make humans
  • Make a few other creatures
  • Make stock creatures/cladeograms used by the game
  • Clean up or temp. disable caste synopses
  • Add all of the new editor files to the world definitions

I finished 3/12, now for the annoying 4th of 12.  Maybe I can finish that today, maybe not.

Time to order some Iggy Pop CDs...
