Stella appears unfazed by these tentacles. "I anticipated you doing worse. Although I dislike deception, perhaps it will highlight his hypocrisy without doing harm. Time will tell, although I would not have performed the action myself.

A meat cleaver flew across the room and embedded itself three inches into a darkwood pillar after flying through the mob of people assembled around Fyodor.

"Walk away!" Chevash d'Ghallanda growled from the doorframe, his muscular arms not covered save by his swordtooth claw armband. A clawfoot pup at his side extended her body and hissed and growled near-draconically, following Chevash in. He was not pleased. None of the crew were. This had gone too far, and everyone aboard knew it. Chevash walked over, glaring angrily up at people still standing as he walked between them, and pulled his cleaver from the wall before grabbing up the cider.

"From now on, this is a dry ship, until you all come to me and prove you can get along." His deep voice resounded in righteous indignation.

House Lyrandar would pay Jonathan back for it, of course, to avoid a legal dispute. That afternoon, Chevash poured every drop of liquor on the ship into outer space.

Just long enough after that incident for everyone to recover and put it behind them, the ship arrived. A star started to grow until it became a sun, and you began to chart worlds.

Many of them seemed to just be great clouds. Others, lifeless stones. One seemed to be encompassed by a perpetual storm. Lightning and winter weather dominated. It seemed to defy explanation - how could there be so much dust and vapor in the atmosphere? What was strangest was the glow. The clouds on the night side had an eerie color to them.

It seemed grim, and ominous. Nothing about it followed Jonathan's understanding of how storms could even be.
