The Hobgoblin laughs but on the inside his brain is churning. He had spent the better part of two years defending the Spelljammer project to people inside and outside the house, and Sormias questioning the mission was more than enough to instinctively bring him into sales mode. "Sharn has more artists than you can shake a brush at, friend, but only one crew of Spelljammers! Most of our voyages will have far more downtime than the last one, so you can come back to the upper class areas with paintings and stories!"

Hel-Shredder leans back in his bed and takes a long breath, catching himself before he goes off on a full blown rant about the glory of adventure,  and offers a wistful smile. "Still, I don't blame you for liking the town. I've lived here my whole life, so I kind of take it for granted at times, but I don't suppose there is a place in any of the realms quite like it... And you've likely only seen a district or two so far! I guess that is part of the reason I like travel so much... It helps me appreciate my home all the more."

"Is that how you want to spend the eons you have been blessed with?" Mr. Shredder asks after a pause, "exploring?"

Hel-Shredder chuckles. "Damn. You could make enough art to fill your own museum in that amount of time!"

His chuckle turns to a sly grin as hobgoblin brain finds away to work his friend's interest to his own advantage. "You should totally paint some of the dangers and opportunities we come across out on the Astral Sea! Visual Aids would be a big help in my quest to convince House Lyrandar and others to invest more resources into our adventures! Hell, make enough, and we could host an entire themed exhibition of your work to really get people talking!"

Mr. Shredder's ears perk up, absolutely thrilled with the thought that the pursuit of his own goals may make his friend happy. He decides to egg her on a bit. "Hells, I can imagine it now! A gala featuring the works of the great Sormias, hosted aboard the Astral Kraken! We could fly the rich people around the sun a few times, tell them stories, feed em with our Dragonmarked Chef, and send them home with expensive paintings and big ideas about the universe in which they live! It would be wonderful!"

Riisi would honestly just be spending the rest of their downtime either exploring, eating, sleeping, or practicing to become proficient with... hmm. Riisi sat at someplace with a view as they considered their options. On one hand, Riisi liked shiny things, and making things Riisi found BECOME shiny was a big plus for learning the jeweler's tools. But on the other hand... clams. And other food, too. It would be interesting, at the very least, to make tasty things for others, that perhaps even won't make them sick!

But perhaps it'd be better if there was someone to talk to about this. Perhaps one of the expedition that Riisi had become a part of. Or else, maybe Erlin Mourne, the priest Riisi had met at the restaraunt. Cleric of a God of Feast and Fortune, eh? Sounds like someone who'd appreciate both food and shiny things, and help Riisi break this stalemate in their mind.

So Riisi got up, with the intention to explore around, to try and find someone they knew to get a handle on this and help them decide. Most Yinglets never lived long enough to learn more than one thing well, after all! But, should they be unable to find anyone, (And they were still getting used to the layout of Sharn,) then Riisi would at least become more familiar with the district's layout, and be able to eat good food. Things you pick by the river were good enough, but some of these foods were delicious. And also, there were clams!

With the amount of time the Astral Kraken takes to leave Eberron, Mr. Shredder doubts it could do anything like a three hour cruise meaningfully. It lacked the passenger capacity and facilities to truly host a multi-day art exhibition cruise. There were factions within House Lyrandar seeking to promote fatter, more civilian spelljammers like that, as well as those who would like to research faster ways to leave a world, but their voices were still compromising with those from other factions.

Riisi could of course get advice from Vassal Mourn. He couldn't help him much narrow it down. On the one hand, Riisi would have a lot of opportunity to craft and make new jewelry, and might find that a very lucrative proposition. On the other hand, culinary expertise would help him to identify exotic but delicious ingredients on other worlds, revolutionizing local cuisine.

"It comes down to whether you want to bring yourself more feast or fortune, or to bring the world more feast and fortune. Either way, Olladra bless."

Over the course of around ten minutes, each of you would hear a message, calling into your mind. Each was customized, reminding you that the Astral Kraken would be departing again tonight, and that all crew should report to stations.

Feel free to post any last minute goodbyes to NPCs. Religious characters can presume their church still wants them on mission at this point. Post your arrivals at the Astral Kraken as it prepares again for departure.

Brother Jonathan came to the air dock directly from the church of the Silver flame. He had been training new recruits for the past few days and was in prime condition for the voyage. He smiled and waved at the crew as stepped onto the ship.

Dullahan had spent his time with Zowo mostly after having met her. She was an interesting sort, and a wish for such a simple request was far from a hardship. After all, it was just telling of an experience he'd had. True a rather debauched one, and one he... was unsure he enjoyed. Perhaps the people up here might think less of him, but as long as he didn't think less of himself, he didn't much mind. All in all, it had been an enjoyable nineteen days, though once he'd heard the message he'd have given his goodbyes to Zowo, along with assurances he'd be back to see her once we'd returned from our next trip.

A while later he'd make his way to the Astral kraken, his supplies carried in a simple bag again as he looked around for the others, somewhat wondering how all of their shore leave had gone. Well, it was certainly something to ask, but later. Maybe over a bridge tournament, he had been intending to get some gambling in, before he had ended up.... distracted. Still, he looked his best, body polished, outfit tidy. All in all ready to get back to work.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

Ex-Officer Jundar emerges from his isolation in the staffhouse when contacted, and moved to the ship, having no-one to say a goodbye to, and no reason to linger.

He has nothing with him, aside from what's on his body. A heavy looking set of leather-reinforced chainmail armor complete with an open-faced helmet, looking pretty decently made. A very basic, dull gray heater shield is strapped to one arm.
Notably, he lacks any sort of obvious weapon.

He's put on good amount of bulk (the man is big, and now obviously very strong), and been keeping up with looking relatively presentable. While he still carries his nigh-constantly vacant face, it's clean, and still shaved well. He doesn't stink like years of isolation like he did on first contact.

"Hmm... Actually, given how few cabins we have, we may just have to host the Gala on deck while it is docked." Mr. Shredder muses after a few more minutes of thought. Eventually, after perhaps a bit more conversation, he just drifts off to sleep, trusting Sormias not to mess with his stuff and to close the door behind her when she leaves.

---

Hel-Shredder reports to the Astral Kraken, already rather tired from a long day at the office. Why did it have to be a night departure?

Still, he is able to keep up a facade of energy and vigor as he goes about his inspection of the ship's various arcane components. The only outward sign of his exaustion being that he is not yelling at the lowly deckhands and dock workers quite as much as usual. He would complete his duties, perhaps enjoy the view of Sharn at night from above as the ship departed, and retire to his cabin early.

Fyodor arrives once again at the docks, back in his "work" clothes. His taut face is even tauter, and his normally expressionless demeanor is replaced with one of slight worry. Most of the dock worries still keep out of his way though.

Atil gathers his hay from the room, as well as all of his personal possessions. The hay was stuffed into som random alleyway, like unwanted tissue, as he made his way back to. The astral kraken. He had no desire to visit old “friends” or anything of the like. He was just content to have a sack full of coin he could turn into food.

The Astral Kraken departed. It drifted slowly away from the Airship Docks at first, the City of Sharn dizzyingly huge below, and hurled off again over the ocean. The sun would rise over a sharply curved horizon the next morning, and you would turn towards one of the brightest stars in the sky - part of the Constellation Garyx, the Dragon God of Chaos and Destruction.

You had been informed before you left of the mission. After consulting at length with Riisi, House Lyrandar wants to pursue the possibility of trade and reconnaissance with the Astral Elves. Knowing that Riisi had spent a week aboard the Boundless Bounty before it was shot down, there are only so many stars that he could have departed from.

The Astral Kraken is to go to the first of these, closest to Eberron, and investigate for signs of alien life. Whatever they find, they are encouraged to return with as much material wealth as the ship can carry. Riisi had informed them that, where he comes from, there are no dragonshards, no dinosaur meat, and far fewer magic items. A small selection of each is in the hold for inspection and trade, should it become possible.

The voyage to this star is expected to take 10 days. Please consult the Astral Kraken section of the downtime chart to select what you would like to do.
