Riisi, upon being told this plant's nature, immediately gets to picking some of the leaves, though definitely not stuffing some of the juiciest leaves into their own pocket. Nope, totally not a thing that's happening.

Nope, not saving any to try munching on later, all the leaves are going in the bag. Totally. ^{Believe me, guys! So trustworthy!}

You'd been gathering herbs for a little while, stuffing your sacks, and in some cases your pockets. You'd gathered something like a hundred gold pieces each worth of the Olladraleaf when a small figure approached Mr. Shredder. It's body was made of wood and bark, it stood some three inches high, and it grasped at the end of the fern, as if trying to pull it back from him.

[TALLPANZER]

"If only we had some sort magic pot that would let us bring back a whole plant." *Brother Jonathan looked over at the strange plant creature.* "How odd."

[Weirdsound]

In shock, Mr. Shredder looks down and nearly drops the piece of fern that the alien was tugging on. "Holy crap! Check this out guys! A tiny plant alien! Its so adorable!"

The Hobgoblin stares into the tiny alien's eyes. He has no clue what the creature is, but one question quickly forms in his mind. "I wonder how much it will sell for?"

Mr. Shredder attempts to lift the Alien by the piece of fern it is holding, and drop it into the sack with the rest of his gathered plants.

Stella will quickly approach once the others call out the alien's presence. She peers closely at it, motioning for Shredder to stop what he's doing and hold still. [Nature 15]
"It is similar to the tree we just fought, but may not be entirely similar. It has no Eberron counterpart, to my knowledge.

The tiny figure climbed from frond to frond, dangling and swinging. It cried a high-pitched battlecry as it tried to jab Mr. Shredder with a thorn on the end of it's tiny arm, but Mr. Shredder was able to flinch, swat, and/or flail the creature off of his arm before the blow landed.

Two more of the adorable saplingfolk looked up from a nearby tree branch. They looked at one another, eyes wide, and gasped, then leaped down, rushing towards Atil and Dullahan with their own high pitched battlecries.

Special Combat Rules

Your bags each contain 100gp worth of fern, our of a max of 250gp. During this combat, you may expend your turn to move to a patch of ferns and stuff them into your bag. If you do, you may roll Wisdom/Survival or Strength/Athletics, or if you have a herbalism kit, Dex/Herbalism Kit Proficiency or Int/Herbalism Kit Proficiency. Add double the result in gold piece value to your bag.

New enemies will appear each round.

The rest of the party can almost see whatever the Eberron equivalent of dollar signs are form in the Hobgoblin's eyes as more aliens appear. "Guys! Lets get out of here! We can come back later when I have more sleep spells ready!"

Riisi wanted to keep herb picking, but seeing as none of the others did, and it would make the small thing a prime target, Riisi fell back with the rest of the group.

Atil focused only on the small creature coming towards him. One eyebrow raised, he snorted, chewed on his teeth, and then started to drool.
“You all should try to collect the plants. Dullahan, Mind helping me hold them off?”
Having decided on something, Atil snapped at it. Litterally. With hunger on his lips.
