Picking through the bodies, you find ten short swords, as well as a variety of coins and cheap jewelry collectively worth 120 galifars. The bodies are largely elven, each dressed in fairly elaborate silk sailors clothes.

There's no sign of the captain's body. He must have fallen off the ship earlier - you may need to try farther up the cleft, or in the forest beyond it's beginning.

"I don't know of any spell that calls for bits of worm, Dullahan..." The Hobgoblin muses outloud, "and these ones don't strike me as inherently magical. Usually, I'd be all for catching them anyway to see if anybody back in Sharn is interested... but honestly, they gross me out to no small extent."

Mr. Shredder then turns his attention to Sormias. "Yeah. This place is pretty neat! Can't claim to be a fan of disturbing corpse eating worm things, but I'm loving this sense of the unknown! Speaking of adventure, once we are done burning bodies, want to head up the cleft to see if we can find the Captain's?"

"Yeah, that'd be the best bet. Might be some interesting flora or fauna about there as well... or at least a nice view." Dullahan shrugged, giving another of his echoing chuckles.

Fyodor starts to gather twigs and heap them on to the corpse-pile.

Brother Jonathan nodded and raised both his arms and held them wide apart, then in deep load voice he spoke "May these souls be taken up from this world and welcomed into the light of the flame. Each shall be given to rest in their own next world. The Silver flame protects and guides us."

Fyodor sparks the kindling with his Flint and Steel and turns away as the bodies are consumed by fire.

"Let us move. The worms won't return."

Atil watched the ceremony play out, as soon as the fire was lit, turned away to enjoy his mean and conserve energy.

Sormias Velcrosse cut one of the worms open. A mix of digestive acid, half-melted flesh, and glycera sopped out. Steeling herself, she lifted the seeping glop from the end of the worm, and put it into her mouth.

It was foul beyond imagining. She immediately tried to spit it out but it was sticky and coated her tongue. She started to wretch, sweat, and spent the next several hours vomiting.
