Brother Jonathan helped build pyres and with hulling away dirt as the bodies were exhumed.

The swan treated Stella d'Vadalis like it was tame, and knew her well. All her life, animals had been that way. Whenever she met a new one, it had taken to her as readily as a puppy. It had been the same for all her family. Animals just didn't like other people like they liked the Vadalis.

The ship's hold easily occupied their stacked cages. They had wooden bottoms with some hay to nest in. Swans preferred to swim but it would do for a few days at least.

Shovels were gathered, and the exhumation began, with shovelful after shovelful of dirt being piled aside..

Riisi feels like they did something, smiling a bit. Still, they helped with the others, and when it came time to exhume the bodies, just stood to the side. Riisi wasn't really strong enough to move bodies or dig anything other than soft dirt a lot of the time.

Atil walked up to Dullahan, greataxe in hand.
“I will not lend you my axe, but I will lend you my services. I still do owe you for saving my life.”

Mr. Shredder glances at Stella while his unseen servant does the digging. "We never asked you to cast that spell in the first place. Don't put this on us! Besides, they will be going to a good home. If you are gonna spend a crapload of money purchasing alien animals for display, you are at least going to put some effort into keeping them alive and happy."

Hel-Shredder speaks in a somewhat exasperated tone. He understood that non-hobgoblins would often harbor fondness towards clearly inferior beings, but that did not make the behavior any less frustrating to deal with.

The serpentfolk had been burned, and buried shallowly. Another three wands and rapiers were located.

The other grave took longer. But after about fifteen minutes of digging, there was a pause. The ground seemed to start to move and shift on it's own. Worms emerged from the earth the size of cobras, interrupted in their corpse feast, three-part mouths splitting open to reveal sharp spike-like teeth. By the Sovereigns the swarm was all around you!

With the worms coming out of the ground, Atil stood their, confused as to how to handle this.

For once Dullahan was on point, his head spinning around 180 and focusing on the worm behind him. It rattled about, the large suit of armour quickly stepping back, drawing his blade into a heavy sideways slash at one of the worms, his body turning to match his head as he did. Unfortunately he misjudged distance, swinging high as the creature dropped a bit. (Init = 20 Attack = 6)

"I am aware. I am stating this so that you do not expect it from me from the future." [15 init; 25 tohit; 10 damage] Even being displeased with herself doesn't dissuade Stella's aim.

Stella's arrow pierced a few of the worms, but there were dozens more crawling out, seeking in all directions.

"The flame will not forgive your intrusion." Brother Jonathan dashed at on worm and stabbed at it...
