Brother Jonathan had taken rest on the Astral Kraken. When he woke, he came out onto the deck and looked for any religious land marks or structures.

Roza Helmworth and Dullahan search the area around the ship. The rent cleft of upturned earth behind the ship is strewn with smoldering debris. If the bodies were burnt or buried here, it isn't obvious where, despite a long search.

In the end, it was Brother Jonathan that found them, along with his brother in faith, Fyodor Saltsvits. His search for religious iconography didn't take him far. In most faiths, if the dead are to be buried or burned, a sign is left of them. As he approached a line of upturned debris, he noted ash mingled with earth here, as if a campfire had been buried. There looked to be four the size of medium humanoids, and one that was quite a bit larger - more than likely, a mass grave.

Atil, Altheros, and Stella d'Vadalis went off into the woods, talking little among one another, to search for what animal live they could find to eat, tame, or avoid.

A flock of copper and auburn swans swam gracefully in a pond. Unless they turned out to be delicious you can't imagine setting up a breeding program, but taken alive as a flock, they might find themselves in a private menagerie in a Skyway estate, however briefly.

The trio also came across a set of large tracks. Whatever made them had four cloven hoofs the size of dinner plates. They led deeper into the forest.

Brother Jonathan tells the other crew members of the grave and where it was located.

The sun was already low, casting long shadows from the nearby woods over the makeshift ashen graves. The air was starting to rapidly cool.

In the woods, Stella could see her breath in the torchlight as she examined the tracks Altheros had found. It was time, perhaps, to return to the ship for the night.

It proved to be of little difficulty. Kayto's night shift replacement was taking over the helm, and he silently ferried people back up.

Breakfast that morning was a soft boiled clawfoot egg served in the half-shell center-table with grilled tapas bread to dip in, along with a vegetable charcuterie platter with some sweet pickles, pickled grilled asparagus and peppers, and a glass each of pulpy strawberry juice. Stories were told about what had been found so far, and plans for the day's expedition were to be laid out.

No fires had been spotted in the night.

"These tracks are over a day old. The animals may be long gone if they are not slow. Following them at night would be inadvisable." Stella'll glance at Jonathan. "That may be the location of the missing captain."

Mr. Shredder ponders the stories. "Well, I know the sleep spell, so I say we go scoop up the swans real quick! We will just approach them on the Skiff, get as close as we can, and I'll launch the spell the instant they get ready to fight or flee."

He then turns to Chevash d'Ghallanda. "Hey chef! You got some empty sacks or barrels we can use to get the birds back up to the ship? Since the Alien and the inquisitor are bunking up, we should have a spare cabin to dump them in."

"Speaking of aliens..." Dullahan said, looking to the small Ratbird thing. "Well, obviously we're not leaving them here, do you want to work up a contract for them as well? They're a pretty good fighter it seems." He'd chuckle a bit, moving over to Riisi's side. "That is, if you want. You may have to share my room for a while, but I don't take up much space and you also seem not to."

"It could very well be, but if exhume the corpses, they must be committed to the flame afterward, so their souls my rest." He nodded at Stella'll.

Mr. Shredder nods at Dullahan. "Yeah. He deserves a cut, and transport to somewhere safe at the very least. I didn't bring the office stuff with me on the voyage, so I don't have any copies of the standard contract around. If somebody wants to lend me some pens and paper, I'll write him up a contract by hand on the voyage home."

He then turns to Riisi. "You are okay with that, right little buddy? You'd rather go home with us than stay on this world, right? A live, friendly, and intelegent, you'd be a celebrity in Sharn for sure! And if you have knowledge of places and planets among the stars, you could even help me plan future voyages of the Astral Kraken!"

Atil will dive into the water, greataxe on land, but his smaller axes attached to his hips, hoping to catch the birds like a croc would. Swiftly, from beneath the waters.
