"I wonder how they became undead." Brother Jonathan stroked his chin as he looked around the room.

Nothing about the room revealed any detail like that. There were more grey rectangles. Curiously, the textiles seemed broadly okay, but felt like no fabric you were familiar with. Whatever happened here seems to have happened a long time ago.

The door here led back to the mines, where a group of robots had been working around the remaining mithral bars.

“We going in deeper or going to leave? I don’t know about you but I am starting to feel a bit warm down after that last fight.”

"Indeed. It seems unlikely that we would retrieve anything else from here right now."

Sola will take a sample of the textiles, at least. "Textiles are always an important trade good. Consider taking them."

[TALLPANZER]

"There was more True Silver in the mines, but the constructs may turn hostile on us. That one before didn't know all the people here are undead. They may think we are raiders of some type."

[Weirdsound]

Mr. Shredder ponders the monk's words. "That... could be true. But we shouldn't be mislead by the difficulty we had against the single robot earlier. We stand more than a fighting chance if it comes to blows! Unless the ones on the track have weapons, we can pick those apart from a distance, and the rest are likely in serious trouble when I cast my grease spell."

The Hobgoblin then snaps his fingers as an idea strikes him, and spins around to walk toward the previous room. "We should strike first to be sure. Build a barricade in the doorway out of the crates in the previous room, and try to pick off as many of the robots as we can from here with ranged attacks! Make them come to us!"

Detlas promptly follows said orders, blocking up the doorway with what heavy things he can find laying around., such the mentioned crates.

The robots did not come to you. As you opened the door, one at the top of the ramp fled down. The rest stayed out of sight.

You had returned to the ancient yet spotless mine chamber. The constructs turned from their re-enactments of a working mine now bereft of materials as you approached, each fleeing to alcoves and cabinets that hissed shut behind them. You cautiously walked back through the facility for more of the precious Mithral, robots scattering one by one from before you. Some watched, hidden away in their alcoves. One crossed the hall behind you, keeping distant and seeming to watch you. It sped away as soon as you noticed it. You arrived at the Mithral stockpile unharmed, and otherwise unbothered.

“They are hiding.” Atil said with a small amount of dispassion.

"They may be preparing an ambush, or they may simply be trying to preserve themselves. We may still want to locate the area where they are controlled, unless the unidentified rectangles are such things," Stella muses.

[Weirdsound]

Mr. Shredder nods. "Indeed. They let us get to the Mithril unharmed. Odds are they are up to something. Keep an eye out for me please, I need to focus my attention on preparing the floating Disk!"

Hel-Shredder finds some cover, just to be safe, and starts to prepare floating Disk as a ritual!

”I may be able to scout ahead.”

"They seem to prefer preserving themselves, this may change as we take the true silver." Brother Jonathan watched the bots as Mr.Shredder prepared the disk.

The room you were in was filled with sounds from an inscrutable variety of alien devices, some roaring like collapsing walls, others making quieter sounds. All at once, you fathomed the source of a dull ticking sound as a four-legged construct passed into view some 20 feet away. Moving swiftly on three of it's legs towards you, the robot's fourth extended like an arm. A bolt of lightning arced between metal spikes at the limb's end, adding an electric thrum to the cacophonous room.
