Stella will stand away from but in line of sight to the door, bow at the ready.

Mr. Shredder creeps closer to the door, but doesn't try to contest Atil for first entry.

The door opened into a cavernous room. Stairs extended downwards into a great pit chamber. Heavy machinery churned and operated. Robots carried shipments of ore, and occasionally removed solid bars of something from it. Nothing here seemed to pay you much mind. Another door led back into the facility, as well as the one you'd come from. The robot cleaner followed you, dusting up your footsteps.

Mr. Shredder's eyes light up. "This facility is still producing! ...And clearly nobody has been around to collect what it makes in a long time. I... I think we just struck the motherload guys! I bet if we follow the robots and their production process, it will all lead us to a massive stockpile!"

The Hobgoblin begins heading down to the pit, eager to get a look at ore, metal bars, and to hopefully figure out where it is all going.

Jundar follows the excited goblinoid, much more warily, gazing around the room for dangers.

"It is good luck that all this is still running." brother Jonathan followed after Mr. Shredder.

Stella looks with alarm at Sormias. She will follow, not for her own sake, but for the Vaelungar's.

Dullahan looked about, thinking it all over. "Interesting... so this was a mining operation then. If the ore is useable this might be quite the find indeed. And may become even more valuable if we manage to find a way to control this place. Constant flow of metal, almost always worthwhile."

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

The constancy of the flow is more questionable. Most of this is red or blinking orange. Machines still attempt to run, sometimes with dangerous sounding clattering. Robots whirr and move, dumping empty containers into missing moulds. Most seem purpose built to a particular function, much as Warforged are, with all of the right tools and construction to do one job here.

Where they all led you to, you found a metal that glinted brighter than silver. It was without a doubt an industrial quantity of Mithral. Each of these colossal bars would take a team of longshoremen an hour or more to get to the ship, but the value to the company will be immense.

The cleaning robot was still watching you from the upper walkway, atop the stairs you just descended.

Mr. Shredder's eyes grow wide at the bounty before him. He stares wordlessly forward for several seconds before speaking. "Guys... this would be a... good time to mention that I can prepare a floating disk to carry heavy things. Ohmigoshwearegoingtoberich!"

"I wounder how many the ship can carry." Brother Jonathan gently placed a hand on one of the bars. "So much true silver, in one place, extraordinary."

"Remember that its wealth did not save this civilization. There may be unforeseen consequences of this mining operation."

"We are not mining it. We are simply taking it." Hel-Shredder replies, "but I suppose a degree of caution would not hurt. We know a safe path exists between this stockpile and the Astral Kracken, but do not know what else lies in this facility. Perhaps we should call off the exploration for the time being, and focus on hauling the Mithril now."
