"My hypothesis at the moment is that disease played a part in the destruction or retreat of this civilization. That box is for quarantine, in all likelihood. The buttons are likely similar to a combination lock, but more advanced."

[Weirdsound]

Mr. Shredder pauses, stunned by the presence of the zombie for only a brief moment, before quickly regaining his composure. "I... I don't think it can harm us from in there. Unless your magic can work through alien glass, I'm thinking we just leave where it stands. For now at least."

The Hobgoblin waltzes up to the clear container with a wicked grin, gets right in the Zombie's face, and tests the strength of the material by pounding right back at the undead monstrosity.

He then takes a look at the buttons. If Stella's theory is correct, they should have the same number symbols on them as the satellite readouts do.

[TALLPANZER]

"The flame can reach any place I can see, if I am close enough." Jonathan nodded with his eyes closed.

[retromach]

All but a few of the buttons are marked with numbers.

[Weirdsound]

"There are numbers on the buttons. I think you are right Stella! We learned on our last trip that alien locks are worth good money, so we should take the whole containment unit back with us if we can. Brother Jonathan, cook the zombie please - I doubt he is contributing any financial value to the cell."

Mr. Shredder leaves the Monk to his work, and turns his attention to the desk in the room. Perhaps somebody was kind enough to write down the combination for them, and if not, he could at least try to claim some alien pens and/or paperweights as cheap trophies to take home and perhaps have mounted.

[TALLPANZER]

Brother Jonathan opens his eyes. "May the silver flame take this soul and bring them to their final reward." He snapped his fingers and silver flame filled the see through container of the zombie.

[retromach]

Silver fire erupted within the box. The drone behind you made an alarmed, screaming whirr. A hissing sound presaged a gas entering the chamber that seemed to have no effect on the silver fire. Billowing smoke was pulled quickly by a silent, whipping wind, illuminated hauntingly by the radiant energy as it was absorbed into the floor.

A loud alarm activated, echoing through the halls. The robot's eyes swiveled up to watch how the humanoids would respond to the anomalous extaplanar energy.

[TALLPANZER]

Jonathan closed his eyes and stroked his chin "I wonder how it did that." then he continued to burn the Zombie away.

[retromach]

To be clear, the Zombie is still being burned as if nothing had happened. The smoke did not have an effect on it.

[Weirdsound]

"Huh. Must have fire suppression systems... This thing just keeps getting more and more valuable!" Mr. Shredder muses. He ignores the alarm, and continues to rifle through the desk for clues or trophies.

"Cease your flames. Their undead may not be like our undead."

[TALLPANZER]

"It is divine energy. You can see he is being consumed, even in the smoke they use. I must commit this one to the silver flame." Brother Jonathan made symbols with his hands to burn away the necrotic flesh of this zombie.

[LordPorkins]

Fyodor shoots a sharp look at Brother John, as he was busy contemplating the zombie before he was interrupted by spontaneous fire

He then slaps Johnathons hands down

"Stop it you fool. This could be an original inhabitant for all we know. The undead can be sentient."

[Weirdsound]

"I don't think sentient undead lock their own inside of cells." The Hobgoblin quips as he continues to search the desk.
