Not Die has an issue in that the Lightning Swords are too expensive for us to afford.

I'm definitely against hoarding swords for later. We need to gain as much ground as we can early, to secure a resource advantage. With us already on our back foot, we can't afford to wait and play the long game like that. Besides, I believe we keep our magic items if we win (except magic ammo, which for that reason, we should stop purchasing immediately) so we can stock up as long as we're winning anyway.

Regarding Plan Not Die, did I miss a detail about lightning swords being more expensive than other kinds? Otherwise it seems to cost the same as the updated plan. I was hoping the lightning would help us cook their guys in metal armor. If we can't do that, I guess fire and whatever an earth sword looks like (I guess we get to find out) is fine.

As a good rule of thumb, its usually a good idea to read through your own Designs section- because you don't always get things as you requested.

I will say that making the DSA was not a mistake.  We may be able to use the same seeking magic to make accurate ranged energy blast weapons in the future.

The actual DSAs though proved not too useful.

Why are the swords more expensive; I thought they just took 1 lightning gem to make.

The relevant bit being lightning stones not all being refined in time for combat? I mean, I can work with that, we'll just have 2/3 of the swords or whatever. You allocate the gems first. So 3 refined enchanted stones turn into 2 lightning stones. Then you would only be able to spend 5 (2 lightning stones, 3 enchanted stones) gems total.

Right. Doesn't your plan only allocate two gems for the swords though? My plan was made on the assumption we could just assign two "batches" of gems and still have two-thirds of them function, and yours seems to do the same thing. Crazyabe, can I get a clarification- are we able to assign two gems to swords, and still have one gems' worth or so in time for combat? Or do we have to assign three gems and have two ready?

If it's the latter, I'd probably say we can take away one unit of Might Bows from the lower lane.

Its "Roughly" Two thirds rounded- meaning with two batches You will have roughly one and a third done in time for combat, and the rest will be finished in time for the next year.
