Okay, so. I intend to do a story fort with a focus on a character named Dr. Horizon. A dimension travelling super !!SCIENTIST!! whose areas of expertise are utilized to help the common man survive in harsh worlds. Additionally, the results may be released as thier own standalone mod.
Horizon's Lab - The main structure used to generate schematics and Chaos Metal. Schematics gained here are needed to build the other structures. [raws done]
Advanced Smelter - Used to extract cobalt as an iron-grade metal, Mercury for trade goods known as Mercury Mirrors and as a ritual ingredient to make fireproof wood, and aluminium from bauxite. [raws done]
Advanced Smithy - Creates lead and platinum cored blunt weapons and made to order axes and sword made from Strongsteel from my Elf War mod. [raws done.]
Offering Portal - Used to offer gold or silver items at base value for a single bar of divine metal, which may vary from world to world in terms of name.
Future Warrior Arsenal (name is placeholder) - Produces various advanced weaponry and armors, and one of the main points for the thread. The weapons can be drawn from any source as long as they don't fall under readily available weapons in the mods already present (so no medieval gear and no black powder weapons.)
Additionally, I need ideas for how to conduct the various research projects and what parts would be sensibly used in a simplified abstraction of making these weapons and armors.
This is in effect a giant shout out factory. This includes energy weapons if you guys think it'd be fair to include them and can ignore random laser or plasma bolts laying around.
Chainsword (40k)
Grindaxe (Spearbreakers)
Butcher's Gauntlet (Bioshock Infinite, Skyhook)
Woodsman Gauntlet (New Vegas, Industrial Hand)
Miner's Gauntlet (Bioshock, Bouncer's Drill)
Pneumatic Gauntlet (Fallout 3/NV, power fist)
Shock Gauntlet (Fallout 1/2, power fist)
Gyrojet Carbine (40k, Bolter)
Rocket Maul (Fallout 4, super sledge)
Power Maul (40k, Thunderhammer.)
Spike Driver (Spearbreakers, Native Railgun)
Disc Catapult (Spreabreakers)
Heavy Riveter (Bioshock, Rosie Rivet Gun)
Sonic Screwdriver (Doctor Who, REQUIRES DF HACK: Can stun enemies; suggested by Meph.)
Net Gun (Bay12 Original, Indigofenix REQUIRES DF HACK: Tangles up and cages enemies. Suggested by Meph.)
Mutagenic Syringer - (REQUIRES DF HACK, ammo turns enemies into various crazed creatures, such as degenrated horrors, spawn of holistic, or hulked out mutants. Suggested by Abyzou)
Power Armor (pick your franchise.) - REQUIRES DF HACK: Augments strength, grants extravision, and removes the need to breath, in addition to its protectiveness against incoming attacks. More expensive version with Emergency Life Support protocol can prevent paralysis so long as the armor is worn, though this basically turns the person into a mini-dreadnought who can't live/move outside the armor if they suffer spinal tissue damage.
Hazard Suit - REQUIRES DF HACK: Can be worn under standard armor to protect against environmental hazards such as toxic coatings and poison gas/vapors. Made from a poor durability material however, comparable to copper.
Additionally, I got an idea following on from Bioshock of drinkable upgrades that are expensive to produce and give only a single consumable unit of drink, but give serious benefits or magical abilities to a single unit. These however, if wanted for the story, would need a third party to make.
Dragon's Breath - Grants the consumer a devastating Dragon Fireball attack that can be used once a week, as well as making the consumer immune to dragonfire. Has the usual drawback of flame users.
General Winter - Consumer can (if possible) inflict fatal frostbite and paralysis on a target once a week.
Rust Devil - Using a relatively simple Blood Magic spell given via a Mana Solution, the user Inflicts fatal bleeding on a target once per week by pulling the blood out of thier body through thier skin.
Mind over Muscle - The consumer is granted the ability to deliver a telekinetic punch to the chest (inflicts the winded status effect and a very brief paralysis effect to ensure they fall over,) twice a week.
Sonic Dash - Maxes out the consumer's Agility and Endurance, allowing them to move faster and fight longer before becoming over exerted, but at a risk of lone wolves dashing off ahead of thier comrades and being over run.
Iron Man - Maxes out Willpower and Endurance as well as making the consumer immune to fear, allowing them to fight on in the face of injuries that would debilitate unmodified fighters and against foes that would send other armsmen running for the hills. Of course this also means they won't have the sense to back down either.
Gorgon's Gaze - Consumers may fatally paralyze up to three targets a month, with a mere look. (needs working eyes?)
Frenzy - The consumer is able to make enemies go insane with homicidal rage by forcing visions of terror and rage into thier head, causing them to attack thier comrades.
Stygian Storm - The consumer is able to spray enemies with molten bronze at close range and bronze pellets at range. Makes the user immune to the boiling point of bronze.
Warrior's Spirit - Makes the consumer immune to pain and exertion.
Magical Malus - Renders the consumer immune to most magic attacks, but only for six months at a time. Would be considerably cheaper to make, but more involved than making regular drinks or barreling water. Suggested by ZM5 via discord.
Slade Slinger - Allows the consumer to fire a conjured pellet of slade at enemies.
There are no bad ideas. Just keep in mind some will rely upon gameplay and story segregation or may need to be employed in roundabout ways.
