Obey the directives of the cyborg mage.
Obey the lady with the prosthetic and old fashioned pointer stick.

As you concentrate on the corner you can hear the sound of feet running down the spiral staircase. At first there seems to be nothing there, not even the slightest emanating blue glow. Slowly but steadily you can see silver lines growing from several points in the corner, forming the shape of a doorway. The silver lines form intricate designs that remarkably remind of celtic knot designs, but they also show the modern streamline design. The locations between the silver lines start to change their colours, and you see shapes moving behind the lines.

All of your brain is concentrated on the doorway, so you don't notice the arrival of three men just behind you, you only being guarded by the body of the secretary. You hear the sound of her robotic arm, moving and something she whispers. Bang, you realize that something is flashing brightly behind you, but this situation is a little too much for you so you continue concentrating on the corner doorway.

JUst after the loud bang, you notice a pentagon shape in the middle of the doorway, and this glows menacingly, as if it dared you to touch it.
You hear another flashbang behind you, and muffled screams of the three men. The smell of smoke rises, and you feel a hand grabbing your shoulder.
"Are you finished, can you see the door?" The smell of burnt flesh rises into your nose, but you answer "Yes, its there." "Then let's go, press that pentagon. Hurry!"
You run towards the corner, swiftly grabbing the fossil on your way to the corner. You press the pentagon and whilst doing so turn around to look at the scene. You can see, that the secretary is right behind you and her hand, coming from her natural lower arm is not there anymore. Behind her you can see a pile of three half burned corpses, of suited men. They all wear black sunglasses and have plugs in their ears. One of them still has a firm grip on his magnum, but mostly their bodies are torn to pieces. You quickly turn around and see that there is a long caveway in front of you. Seems like you have opened a hidden pathway.

As you slip into the cave, followed by the secretary, you feel a strangle tingle under your skin. A weird feeling comparable to falling... You silently run down the pathway, and when you turn around for a last time, you see that the gate is closing. As you look at the secretary, you can see her fumbling with a button in her hand. She presses the red button and you can feel a ripple and ahking earth coming from the door.

You follow the road until you see a golden door to your left. The secretary opens the door with her good hand and you enter a beautiful entrance hall with oak plating, beautiful seats and handmade tables, as well as a fountain with a beautiful but weird looking stone imp spitting the water.

You see three men and one woman. The first and closest to you is a hawaiian man in a very fine hemp suit of brown colour. He wears a chain with a blue stone around his neck and has black glasses. He seems to be in his late fourties or early fifties. He smiles at you.
Next to him is a woman in her late thirties. She is wearing a custome that reminds you of the steampunk fair you visited. She has weird goggles, with greenish glasses, and is wearing leather boots as well as gloves. Weird contraptions and mechanisms are adorning her clothings, and on the fabric of her dress you see yellow patterns like the mechanisms, apparantly painted on.
Next to her you see a young man with a virtual reality headset and a tron suit. You call it that because it reminds you of the style of that movie. You actually have never seen clothing like his, as it is glowing in neon colours that seem to change chaotically.
Next to him you see a gandalf cosplayer. Well at least a cosplayer of a typical wizard. Red runes on a golden suit. Pointed hat, and a long staff with a black diamond at the top. A long white beard adorns his face.
All of them are emanating a powerful white energy, as you can tell due to you still wearing that helmet.

The Hawaiian speaks up: "For now we can tell you that you are safe. You must be shocked, though, which is understandable. Due to the entity that hunted for Dr. Gabelius, we must asume that you are a target for them as well. The four of us are all able to take the proper precautions to put you to a safe space for now. From there we can see how we continue. There is many things we can do for you... Please, I know this must be a strange situation for you, but for now can you please tell us who you want to follow for the night?

Oh, excuse me, all this rubble has made me come out as rude. I am Kale Brown. The man with the extravagant hat is Dr. Sirenius Kalderon, beside him the most respectable E-Z-Intro, and last but certainly not least you can see the lovely Valdera Margantis."

The secretary tells you, "Look, its all weird, but believe me when I tell you, you can trust these people. You trusted me back there and done a fine job, so just go with any of them, its fine. The others will cause distractions for the people who were down there in the cellar with us."

The Hawaiian speaks up again: "Look, we will go to the other room to speak with Martha, who helped you at Gabelius place. Just make yourself comfortable, it won't take long."
As he said, they leave, but return shortly thereafter.
"So have you made a decision with whom you wanna go?"

Apparantly the secretary has left, as you can only see the four powerful figures you have just met.
You nod at the Hawaiian, "Yes, indeed, the woman who was at Dr. Gabelius place told me I could trust you, so therefore I choose to follow your instructions for now. I will follow Dr. Sirenius Kalderon." He nods and then all three of them, the hawaiian, the woman, and the tron guy bid their farewells, and you follow Dr. Sirenius Kalderon down one hall.

As he points at a wall, he states, "You have achieved a similar thing just a few moments earlier. I presume you can show me how you opened that portal, down there."
You nod, and you concentrate on that wall, just like before, [3] and alot faster than before, you see silver lines unfold on the wall. This sensation strikes you as quite similar to the one in the laboratory of Dr. Gabelius, [2] But you do notice that the knots are not entirely identical to the ones you had seen before.

"Excellent. Now after you, sir."

You enter the portal and find yourself in a marble hallway. It is adorned with exquisite paintings [1] you recognize as impressionist. The scenes depicted are beautiful women and nature scenes. You walk down the hallway, to find yourself in a high room, with chandoliers, and several exquisite items [1] that you can only take a glimpse on. For a moment you take a closer look at a big globe in one of the corners of the room. It is emanating a powerful blue glow. You take a seat in one of the beautiful leather armchairs, and Dr. Sirenius takes off his hat, puts it on a hatstand next to other similarily flashy hats. He then walks towards a bar, and gets a clear bottle with a bright blue liquid and two glasses. He takes a seat at an identical armchair and puts the glasses as well as the alcohol on the table. He proceeds to pour the alcohol into the two glasses and sets the bottle down.

A firm look into your eyes, and a weird expression you can't really understand on his face later he speaks up again,
"Now, I believe you might have some questions. We could drink from my fine spirit and I will answer all of your questions honestly, and as repayment you let me run some minor tests on you. And I ensure you that those tests are mere measurements, no potential danger coming from them. So please yourself, and ask away."

Do you have more questions, because I wanted to give you a little place where you all can find out more about the world. I mean your questions are pretty good but I guess you COULD squeeze out some more...
I will update in a few hours so ask away until then.

As you realize that he is honest with you, you begin the questioning with the most obvious one.
"What is in the bottle?" "Oh, it is a fine walnut spirit. It is known to taste good, and free your mind." He takes a sip from his glass, and you do realize that he wouldn't poison himself, so you decide to take a sip. A marvelous taste unfolds itself in your mouth and it seems to take your stress off of your mind at least a little bit.
After a short moment of silence you ask, "Who were the guys that were coming after me earlier?"
"Well, it is quite difficult to explain actually. The research Dr. Gabelius was conducting at the lab you visited is considered pariah by this group. They call themselves the Reality Policing Unit. You see, they are a group of people who seek out exceptional people who have exceptional talents and abilities. They try to recruit you, and if you don't comply, they threaten you, and then they attack you. They are like a mafia, and those that are initiated in their ranks fight furiously against groups and individuals who do "dangerous" research. I believe that they want to drive out all chaos, so they do have well intentions, but they want to achieve their goal by purging creativity and free will, and they have many tools to aid them on their quest. I too was hunted by them, but luckily I could get away, and now I have been living in hiding for quite many years. It is fine for me, I like the seclusion, but I'd rather choose seclusion instead of being forced to it."
You nod at this, but you feel that there is a lot more to be said about this topic, but you leave it at that for now.
"Now, what happened to Dr. Gabelius, is he dead?"
Dr. Sirenius Kalderon shakes his head, "I have a strong belief that he is not dead, Ashe, the one that was with you, has reported that he must have gotten away through using his knowledge of Correspondence. We believe that he is hiding in a safehouse somewhere, but since he is on the radar of the RPU he will probably remain silent for a while. We have sent Ashe to find out his location, but that COULD take quite a while."
Again, you nod, and you gaze upon the hatstand and then back at Dr. Kalderon who is still wearing his strange robe.
"What's with the Lord of the Rings costume?"
At this he bursts out in laughter, "Hahaha, good one... Well it is my choice of garment. The patterns painted on the robes aid me to channel energies amongst other things. I chose this red robe today, due to its resistance to heat and kinetic energy. If Ashe hadn't returned and reported what happened, the others and I would have gone there ourselves to take care of the matter. It's a pain that the place is destroyed. Ashe had to, now it looks like it was torn down by a gasleak, and all compromising materials that could lead to any of our group are evaporated to an extent that even the RPU will have problems to restore them."
All of this sounds rather fishy and strange, but you decide to be diplomatic for now and quiet down to enjoy the rest of your walnut spirit.

"Now, for the tests... You don't need to stand up, I am just going to get my tools, and it won't take long I promise.
For a moment that seems endless, Dr. Kalderon is away, off in another room. When he returns, you're surprised to see him with with a big crystal shaped like an octagon, and a pendle. He puts the pendle on the table, and holds the crystal in front of his face, and you can see his distorted face through it. Interestingly enough you can see the blue glow again, and you touch the helmet on the floor, that you had taken off earlier in the conversation. He wanders around you and gazes at you from all angles. He sometimes hmms, and ahas as he is doing so.

He puts the crystal on the table and takes the pendle in his hand. He walks up to you and holds it above your head. Abruptly the pendle starts pendling, and quite powerful too.
After a minute Dr. Kalderon puts the pendle back on the table. He smiles at you.

"Now, I have a question for you. Do you want to be trained to become a mage?"
You look at Dr. Kalderon as if he was crazy, and answer, "What's that supposed to mean? Are you crazy, a mage, this is not a fantasy story, nor is it a suggestion based game on an internet forum..."
"Have you not seen the blue glow through that helmet, and later on through the crystal when you were looking at me?" "Yes, I did, but I do not know what that has to do with anything. This is crazy, what you are suggesting is a child's dream." "What if I could prove to you that there is magic?" "Now how would you do..." you stop in midsentence as you see a ball of fire forming in the left hand of Dr. Kalderon. He snaps his fingers and the firebolt flies to a candle to light it.

"Do that again, but keep it in your hands." He does as you say, and you quickly walk up to him and hold your hand over the flame. It is hot, and very dry, there is no way you know of how Kalderon could not feel the heat, and also his hand seems to be okay with the flame, not sweating, nor blistering. He closes his hand and the flame is gone. He then takes his glass, and freezes it.

You stare at him.
"If I believe you, you can show me how to do that?" He nods.
"It will take some time, but for now I will try to show you something. A trick from an associate of mine, he showed it to me.
Breathe in and out. Slowly. Concentrate on the energy you have observed earlier, try to bring it back before your inner eye."
You breathe in and out, and continue to do so in a slow manner. You also try to picture the energy. After a minute or two the blue glow begins to form before your eyes.

"You see it now, huh?" Dr Kalderon asks. You nod.
"So, Dr. Gabelius assumption about you was right, you are a willworker. I think it would be good for you if you came with me tomorrow. I will bring you back to the others and you COULD choose one of us as your mentor and trainer. Each of the people you saw tonight has a very different approach to the whole magic matter. Why don't you sleep on it and tell me wht you think tomorrow in the morning." You nod and go to sleep thereafter. You dream of a blue figure that watches you as you are working to create a wooden door.

As you wake up you notice a plate with bread and cheese next to you on the nightstand. You eat it and get dressed.
After you have finished eating you go to Dr. Kalderon. The two of you go back to the hall where you came from last night and this time Dr. Kalderon lets the door appear. You enter the door, and find yourself in the house where you met Kalderon first. The others are there, waiting for you.

They all greet you, and the Hawaiian speaks up again: "Now, we are glad you decided to come here. I will brief you now on the different views we have..."
((So time for you to pick one teacher, and you can decide if you want the training phase to be played out or if you want to skip ahead a year.
List of Teachers:
Dr. Sirenius Kalderon, traditional Mage, he uses magic wands and crystals, spells, and rituals. Is quite powerful in the manipulation of forces.
Kale Brown, shaman, uses rituals to balance the cosmos, Is quite powerful in the manipulation of spirits.
Valdera Margantis, tinkerer of weird machines, bends reality with impossible clockwork machines. Quite powerful in the manipulation of matter
EZ-Intro, hacker of reality, uses computers to hijack the matrix of reality to do his biddings, quite powerful in the manipulation of correspondence.

EZ-Intro looks at you with a stern look. You can tell by the animatronics on his helmet, that make angry grimaces at you.
"Fine..." He turns to the others, so I asume we roll with Plan C then. You all know what you will be doing this phase." They all nod and shake hands, but you see that EZ-Intro actually does complex and individual handshakes with each one.
He looks at you. "Fine, let's go." He grabs you on the shoulder and all of a sudden you find yourself in a room stuffed with electronics. You see a fat guy with some asian food in the back of the room. He nods at you with his chopsticks at hand.

"Fattie, get up."
"What do you want, General Asswipe, have the robed men spanked you again?"
They both exchange angry looks... You hear that whistle that you hear in these situations in western movies.
Suddenly they burst into laughter, and EZ-Intro walks over to the other guy and does an elaborate handshake.
"So, who did you bring over?"
"Oh, this kid, just woke up. That's what Gandalf said anyway..." Chuckling.
"And you're supposed to make him our maid?"
"Shut up. No, he picked me. I teach him now..."
"Oh boy, this will be fun. Shall I warm up good old BETTY and create some training scenarios?"
"Sounds like a plan dude. Three paths, three quests, three random elements."
Slowly the fat guy stands up and you can see his t-shirt. You can see binary code on there [2]. You recognize that the tshirt has a row of numbers on it and asume it is a code for something else entirely but on the go you can't tell what it says.
The fat guy walks over to a shelf crammed with unplugged electronics and reaches for a strange looking device resembling an snes that has lots of usb cables coming out of it. On the top there is weirdly glowing lamp.
"I finished her. We can test it on him. Its actually perfect that he shows up today. I must add this coincidence to my note this seems highly coincidental, don't you think?"
"Go for it, I got other fish to fry. But hey. Awesome that you finished her, let's hook her up."
"AyeAye general."

He starts going to a bigger computer unit and starts plugging the object in. EZ-Intro returns to you and takes off his helmet. You see a 19 year old boy with the eyes of an eighty year old. His blue eyes pierce you and his pale skin feels as if it has eternally been burned by the light of electrical screens.
"Okay dude, you can call me Frank in here, but you can also EZ. Whatever you like. What I am going to do is not talk much for now. I will hook you up to that machine, and you will create yourself a nice screenname and an avatar. Now the screen name can be changed, but the avatar is important, so take your time. You should understand the programms presented to you. Oh well, actually, do you have any knowledge on computers?" "Not so much, I can turn it on, reinstall it, basic stuff, cleaned it sometimes from the inside, this kinda stuff."

"Well you're going to have to adapt and learn a little bit. Doing the things we do requires that knowledge in most cases. UNLESS, you are imensely creative, and if you are, go for it. All knowledge in new directions can give us the ultimate tool... Who knows, maybe you are the chosen one." At this he chuckles and dismisses it with a hand gesture.

You both walk towards the bigger PC unit and he gestures you to sit in a nice couch. He hands you a helmet hooked to the PC.
"Hey the first times hurts a little in the head, but we tested it and know its not lasting and not dangerous. Okay?"
You nod and put up the helmet.

Everything is black except for the white block letters asking you,
What is your screen name:
