Proposal: Myomer
Myomer:
A fibre that has no equal in regards to it's properties, Myomer fibres are effectively hyper-efficient muscles once an electrical current of sufficient power passes through them. A recent discovery that, with war seeming an inevitability, we could possibly use in ways to enhance our forces beyond what anyone has conceived so far.
Result: Our scientists have managed to produce a synthetic fiber with a strength-to-weight ratio much greater than any human muscle. Myomer requires an electrical power source to function, but is non-reliant on other Resources as some had originally feared it may be.
We can now assign Myomer to resource nodes, and 2 Myomer appears at the Capital.------------
Proposal: ArC-12b "Kerata" Armored Car
ArC-12b 'Kerata Armored Car'
An armored car for general use by a rifle squad, whether in operational travel, tactical frontline patrols, or as a company weapons asset for supporting assaults. The engine compartment contains a powerful Gavrilium engine capable of a blazing fast 72 km/h top speed. Behind that is a fighting compartment which contains a driver, who operates the vehicle from behind an armored viewport they can raise for increased visibility, the gunner, and the assistant gunner who operate a light, hand-rotated turret that mounts an LGG-12 (or any similarly sized weapon) and a simple grenade projector; the projector can be ranged, loaded, and fired from inside the turret and is designed to accept standard hand grenades. The turret has a raised cupola that has armored viewports facing in every direction so it can be used for protected visibility. Behind the fighting compartment is the passenger compartment, enclosed on all sides with a rear exit hatch designed with ease of loading bulky equipment in mind, with seats which fit 4 men on each side and double as storage lockers. The engine compartment, fighting compartment, turret, and passenger compartment are protected by light armor for defending against shrapnel and rifle rounds. The vehicle is equipped with 6 tires (2 front, 4 rear) for off-road travel, an aspect enhanced by the inclusion of a fairly minimalistic set of Caelium plates mounted on the undercarriage. These plates are nowhere near sufficient to properly lift the Kerata, but serve to effectively lighten the armored car, improving performance in areas where high weight is a notable malus; like deserts or swamps, although power to these can be severed if the driver wishes for the full weight and traction of the vehicle. Lugs are on the sides of the vehicle for mounting tools and spare tires in case of emergencies. There are running boards for mounting extra passengers or equipment. It's capable of towing the GA1 cannon and transporting its crew to boost the mobility of our artillery units.
Difficulty: Very Hard

Utter FailureThe
Kerata (or "Errata" as some of the passengers have begun calling it) was an ambitious project that failed before it could start. Instead of designing a vehicle from the ground up our engineering crews were too focused on toying with ideas for all the new toys and ideas dropped on them, and so they outsourced the construction of the vehicle's basic body to "Guaranteed Motorization" (GM), a civilian company known for producing semi-relable automobiles. Unfortunately some important details were lost somewhere in the mix when they sent finished models of their latest buggy, the "Oldersmobile", instead of modifiable frames. Our engineers have to extend the body of each vehicle as they come and replace the rear seats with benches mounted along the sides for cramming eight passengers in. The conventional four-cylinder engine is replaced with a GavEngine that is slightly smaller but more powerful. This is because it has to compensate for the armor plating that is placed on the sides up to the canvas roof, providing some protection for for the passengers, as well as the extra length of the vehicle and added pair of wheels in the back. Our engineers also applied Caelium plates to the rear underside of the
Oldersmobile Kerata, but the wiring providing power from the GavEngine is shoddily done at best, so power supplied to the plates fluctuates wildly on uneven ground causing the rear of the vehicle to bounce not unlike a horse kicking off a cowboy - especially as it can also send men flying. At least we've supplied safety straps for the men. This bouncing means anything towed by the
Kerata often comes unlatched. We also didn't have time or space to mount weaponry to the
Kerata, instead relying on the passengers firing out of slits in the armor plating for self-defense, though the cramped quarters and the fact that the slits are behind the benches make this task quite...frustrating. Safe traveling speed is no quicker than the pace of a march, else the bouncing of the vehicle might wind up knocking it out of commission.
Costs
5 Ore,
2 Gavrilium, and
2 Caelium. making it both
(VERY EXPENSIVE) and
[complex] as we lack a steady
Caelium supply, therefore making it functionally a
(NATIONAL EFFORT) for the time being. Note also that Ore cost represents the price of purchasing the vehicles+modifications, and actually building a design of our own will likely be cheaper.

Proposal: "Mountain" Myomer Lifting Kit
'Mountain' Myomer Lifting Suit: Our first practical example of what we can do with Myomer, the Myomer lifting suit enables the individual wearing it to lift far larger loads than what could be done without it. The applications of this are enormous, allowing our troops to far more easily unload supplies from transports and carry much heavier equipment for longer, as well as being able to dig trenches much faster and without exhausting the wearer significantly. Powered by a small Gavrilium engine mounted as a backpack to the suit, the suit is not well suited for frontline duty due to the exposed power supply, instead being assigned to our rear lines to help with engineering and construction work

MasterworkOur first application of the newly produced
Myomer resource has gone splendidly. The user of a
Mountain Suit is strapped into a canvas suit reinforced with metal rods, with braids of Myomer fibers running atop the suit attached to the rods at multiple points. The cables originate from a small back-mounted GavEngine that weighs just over ten kilograms, but becomes less of a burden once the suit is powered. The myomer acts as an amplifier to the strength of the user and the force they apply to objects. As such they see the ability to lift and carry up to 250 kilograms with ease. The suit sees widespread usage behind the front line, with battlefield deployment limited only by the vulnerable back-mounted GavEngine and exposed myomer musculature.
The suit costs
2 Gavrilium and
2 Myomer, making it
(CHEAP).
NONCOMBAT DESIGN BENEFIT: With the use of the
Mountain Suit you may use a Revision to maximize a sector's Entrenchment Level. Another level of Entrenchment,
Indomitable (lvl.4), may be applied to your Sectors, and this rule addition will remain hidden from the Abberan team until first contact with an Ent. 4 Sector or they make something that'd provide the same effect.
------------
While we aren't too happy with the laziness of everyone involved with the
Kerata, it still fulfills our request. The
Mountain Suit more than makes up for the shortcomings of the
Kerata project, and so we still hold faith in you all. As both our requests were filled, you now have
Two Revisions as well as
One Design with a Research Credit to decide on for this Revision Phase. We just ask for more consistency.
IT IS NOW THE REVISION PHASE.Infantry
Senapang Pattern Rifle: A 110 cm, 4 kg dark wood masterpiece. 7.7mm rounds are fed via 5-round stripper clip into the 10-round internal magazine, which can also be loaded with rounds individually. It has an adjustable rear sight with 100 meter increments. It also has a bayonet lug and comes with a bayonet. Padded for operator comfort, extremely dependable and reliable. The Senapang outclasses many rifles of our time. Costs 2 Ore and 2 Wood. (CHEAP)
SMG-12 Sub-Machine Gun: Essentially a low-powered hand-cranked personal Gatling Gun fired from the hip and fed 10mm pistol rounds through a box magazine under the weapon. Difficult to aim, as there is a crank mounted on top of the thing. Occasionally fails to load chambers, resulting in the nickname "The Stuttergun". Still, it's a big step in personal automatic firearms. Costs 4 Ore and 2 Wood. (CHEAP)
M2 Dispersion Grenade: A fantastic incendiary weapon. Effectively a canister on a stick that explodes in a burst of heat and molten metal. The sudden burst of wilting heat causes intense burns out to three meters while the flying molten Gavrilium can inflict serious wounds out to ten. Costs 1 Ore and 1 Gavrilium. (CHEAP)
GGG-12 Gavrilium Gatling Gun: A tri-barrel gatling gun that uses a small GavEngine to rotate the barrels. Fires up to 600 rpm with a range up to 2200m thanks to the 7.7G rounds which use a GavPowder load. A heat sink helps provide equilibrium between the heat caused by the Gavpowder load and the freezing caused by the depletion of Gavrilium rods in the engine. Uses a dial to adjust rate of fire. Effective and reliable. Costs 5 Ore and 4 Gavrilium, making it (VERY EXPENSIVE).
--LGG-12 Light Gatling Gun: A GGG-12 without the Gavpowder. Range drops to 1500m but Rate of Fire is increased to a possible 1200 RPM. Is also much lighter, allowing it to be redeployed very easily by a crew. Can also be deployed with a small artillery carriage. Costs 4 Ore and 2 Gavrilium. (CHEAP)
GA1 Cannon: A 150mm piece of artillery that uses a mixture of cordite and powdered Gavrilium to fire rounds fairly accurately to six kilometers but potentially out to nine if accuracy isn't really a factor. The barrel warps from extended use so teams are asked to restrict themselves to six rounds at a time before needing to cool for an extended period. Costs 5 Ore and 3 Gavrilium. (EXPENSIVE)
--GA1B Cannon: By modifying the powder, barrel, and alloy used in the GA1's construction, the GA1B can fire 5 rounds a minute accurately up to 10km. The use of Chemical Compounds in the powder formula complicates things. Costs 4 Ore, 2 Gavrilium, and 1 Chemical Compounds. (EXPENSIVE) [complex]
"Mountain" Myomer Lifting Kit: A reinforced canvas suit with cords of myomer muscle running across it powered by a small GavEngine in the back. Allows users to lift 250kg. Sees most of it's use in a support role and not on the front line. 2 Gavrilium, 2 Myomer. (CHEAP)
BSU: The Berani standard uniform is made of light cotton dyed khaki. A wide brim steel helmet offers some protection, and leather patches on the elbows and knees provide a level of comfort and protection when kneeling or leaning on something. The uniform has a large number of pockets, belts, and satchels made of cotton webbing in order to carry large amounts of equipment such as ammo and grenades. Entrenching tools are provided to all soldiers.
Vehicles
ArC-12b "Kerata" Armored Car: A barely-functional troop carrier that acts as little more than mobile cover, and can be outran by a soldier on foot. Bounces wildly when going over uneven ground. Has been unofficially dubbed Errata. Costs 5 Ore, 2 Gavrilium, and 2 Caelium. (VERY EXPENSIVE) [complex].
Components
Gavrilium Engine: An engine run by extracting electromagnetic energy from Gavrilium rods and converting it to mechanical energy. Much more powerful and cost efficient than standard combustion engines. The engine's only flaw is overcooling in very cold environments as the rods freeze as their stored energy depletes, seizing the engine and shutting it down. The Depleted Gavrilium rods must be handled with proper protective equipment. Glows blue. Adds 1 Ore to the price of the base vehicle design and converts Oil cost into 1/2 the cost in Gavrilium
Specialty Resource
Gavrilium: A wondermaterial with many unknown qualities. So far we know that low applied heat produces a slow burn with results similar to coal, a sudden explosive force agitates it until it becomes a molten blob, electromagnetic energy can be drawn from it, and depleted gavrilium has a dangerously low temperature.
Caelium: A metallic substance capable of affecting gravitational fields. When a current is applied it rises above the ground at a level proportional to the strength of the current, and will move if tilted.
Myomer: A synthetic fiber that mimics biological muscle, but with a much greater power-to-weight ratio.
Chemical Compounds: Represents the industry required to maintain a high demand of chemicals.
