Objective:
-Destroy the enemy mech's torso or last head before they do this to you.
-You also win if they surrender, which is recommended if disabled.
Instructions:
-Your deck begins with 20 cards.
-You draw 2 cards per turn.
-If parts are destroyed, you discard that many cards before drawing.
-Each round both players take turns announcing thier cards, and the higher priority one goes first.
-If your card damages or affects parts of the opponent, you may announce which part. Otherwise the torso will be targeted.
-You can play 1 card per turn. Or pass your turn.
-You may also discard any number of cards from your hand.
-You may also drop, pickup, or reposition equipment.
-Cards you play or discard go to a discard pile, which are reshuffled back into your deck when empty.
-Your maximum handsize is equal to your number of remaining parts and you must choose which extra cards to discard before you play another card.
-Most rules can be bent or broken by your cards.
Armour
You have 20 points to spend on armour(HP), each part must have 1 point. When armour is damaged, you discard that many cards at random from your deck into the "damaged pile".
Part Types & Function
Torso (limit 1) - The center part of the mech.
Head (limit 1 per teammate) - The player's cockpit. Extra heads require extra players piloting the mech. Cards for 3+ heads drawn will be given to the players in an order they decide at the start. An a pilot's hand is discarded when their head is destroyed. Teammates cannot trade cards.
Equipment (held by arm) - Held and activated by an arm. Cards that require(only) a single equipment part are judged lighter, in exchange for the risk of the enemy using them.
Accessory (not attached to equipment or another accessory) -
Arm (attached to torso) - Can hold equipment.
Propulsion (attached to torso) - Initiative is equal to the total armor points remaining on these parts. May be hit when aiming at other parts.
Part Orientation & Naming Convention
Center, Right or Left, Front or Rear, Top or Bottom, or some combination of two. If multiple parts would fit these names they will instead be numbered, with higher numbers identifying more backward facing, then lower ones. However, identical equipment will simply be numbered("sword 1", "sword 2").
Stats
Zip: Bonus to initiative
Hit: Accuracy (20% ea, 10% ea target part)
Pow: Damage output
If these stats are above 5 or could make another card above 5, they are "scannable" and the opponent will see them before the match, aswell as the filler cards in their set.
Card Effects & Bonus Effects
Card effects are additional effects other than direct damage. Bonus Effects specifically require additional parts to be functioning to activate. Please keep the length as short as possible or I will shorten it for you. Details may be unapologetically lost.
Misses and Redirects
When an attack does not hit the target part, it may miss or redirect to a neighboring part. These include attached parts, and ones that share similar orientation, including equipment held by a neighboring arm.
Future Sessions
Hypothetically, if you reuse cards they may be judged more softly, giving you more copies. Story wise your pilot dies if their cockpit is destroyed.
Judging Guidelines
In general I will first consult this table. Average/Highest Stat:
2/4 (4 copies)
3/5 (3 copies)
4/6 (2 copies)
5+/7+ (1 copy, and may have penalty fillers)
Effects and part requirements and anything else relevant will then factor in. If you wish to propose a unique reason a card should be judged more lightly, such as inherent vulnerabilities, go ahead. Likewise, if you point out subtle strengths I might have missed, it will at least be good sportsmanship.
