If we found that only a few days in, imagine what else we could find!
/ic reasoning
It's been at least a month, actually. It's only been a few days into the year but you started the project before year's end. :P
(Actually, I kind of... changed my mind a few times about how long before the end of the year the game started, so, uh, it's unclear how long it had really been.)

also could a forgotten beast come if we roll a 1?.
it could

You decide to let the copper simmer a while longer, to bring good luck for the rest of the operation. That's not a real dwarven superstition, but it sounds totally plausible after you say it out loud. The mining thegns nod sagely as if they knew this all along and leave you to your meal. Because, remember, you're still holding meetings wherever you happen to be at the time, because you still don't have the royal rooms set up!

Mid-Spring, 215

Speaking of which, you're at another meal when Gostell shows up to inform you that a small retinue has arrived from a nearby dwarven settlement in Graszdat's kingdom, which she has recently renamed Hehrcogesor after her father. It seems they have some trade proposal to offer you.

A) Have them sent in to discuss it, then!
B) I'll go to see them in Gostell's office.
C) Why would I care about them? Send them away!

A so if we roll a 1 could the miners form a union demanding terrible things like workers rights and higher pay?. [and now I have thought of roll so bad that all three things happens at once how could this go even worse]

You have the delegation sent into the dining hall to meet you. You learn that their settlement, Roskulet, is a small village known for its textiles, and that they fear that they are afraid that your secession will lead to crop shortages in this part of Hehrcogesor. As such, they would like to trade their cloth to you on an fixed-value basis for food every year. With no surface settlements to speak of, and it being impossible to raise grazing animals efficiently beneath the seafloor, Abystok has never had anything resembling a textile industry of its own; its primary industries have always been fishing and (subterranean) farming, with minor runesmithing as a supplement.

A) Accept the deal.
B) Reject the deal.
C) Try to negotiate an even better deal?

C.

While this is good, we still need decoration. This could be a chance to make this place a proper castle.

The deal as is is pretty good though. Come, sit and eat. Let us discuss your village's needs and wares. I'm sure we can come to an agreement that helps both our kingdom and your village. After all, rich, healthy villages and cities make for a Rich Happy Kingdom.

"That sounds like a good deal, now, can you offer me a better one?"

The leader of the diplomats looks aside in an awkward way, and you instinctively know that he's going to cave.

"Well... we could possibly offer you about a one fifth advantage on the price? That is, for every five kola worth of food you give us, at current prices, we'll give you six of cloth? I think we could accept that."

A) I think we could accept that, too.
B) No, that's still not enough, go away.
