Those humans are really eager to win your favour, it turns out. Rather than risk alienating you, they come out of the gate with an offer to pay you even more if you'll let them push back the due date by another six years, that is to say, in 227 by your calendar. Apparently they had a run of bad harvests due to silly surface-dweller things like "weather" and blah blah blah human words, the point coming down to that they need more time to save up but are "confident" that they can pay by the requested date without issue.

You obviously acquiesce to be given more money by the humans. At some point, you start to feel a little uneasy, like maybe you've given offense somehow, but who can tell with humans? In any case, they don't act outraged, just a little stiff, so it's probably not something to worry about; there's plenty of time to clear up any misunderstandings.

A small mob of drunk — unusually drunk, that is — churls just crashed your party, singing bawdy songs about Hehrcog's personal ancestry and habits and knocking over the furnishings. One of them throws up in the elaborate urn standing in for the previous King's actual remains. Hangings are being torn and you're pretty sure you just saw someone steal a Hehrcog bicentennial gold coin from one of the displays and shove it down her trousers. The delegation from the local settlements look amused. The diplomat from Graszdat looks furious. The humans look mortified. What do you do?
